The desire of most people across tongues, clans and nations is progress, change and development. We so much desire progress that we often can not wait for night to come and usher us into another day day. We love change so much that we all expect the night to come; however, our love for the night is often not for the sake of the night, but for its capacity to translate us effortlessly into another day.
That analogy clearly indicates the inherent desire in each one of us for change. We want to become better, we love to discover new ways of easing old troubles. We want to become comfortable, and we want to improve on our past achievements.
However, our desire for change is often impeded by our unconscious company. Every time we see or experience or encounter something on our way to significance, we usually do not remove them from our lives. In fact, every time we think we have progressed, we have simply moved on with the loads of our past experiences, achievements, concerns and doubts tied to our aprons.
Life is indeed a journey; but how enjoyable do we think the journey of life would be when we move along in it with excess baggages? When we learn, do we learn to replace the old, or do we learn to accumulate? When we meet new people, do we add them to our existing list, or do we replace the old list with the new.
The point is, weights could appear to be giving your life some balance in the face of storms, but they are equally slowing your progress in life. The lighter you are in your mind, about the resolved and unresolved issues of your past, family, association and nation, the easier your journey of significance will be and the faster you will be.
The best the past can do is to remind you of your weaknesses and threats; but you must embrace the future to discover your true strengths and your enormous opportunities for greater significance.
In life, you will meet many people, you will see many things; but you must learn to let go and move on. Remember, there may be billions of men or women in the world, but you can only be happily married to one woman or man.
Therefore, every experience can not be part of your destiny, some are just to learn from, while some are to pass through. The more you learn to move on in spite of the past achievements or setbacks, the surer and faster you will be towards achieving monumental greatness in life, business, marriage, ministry and career.
