Listen To Podcast: The SECRETS of Effective EXECUTION In LEADERSHIP
I am sure you have read this Scripture before if you are a Christian. However, we want to look at it from the angle of leadership, understanding that is what Leaderview is all about. The Bible says: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
These are very important things that we must meditate on as leaders for effectiveness in our execution. So that we could get so much done, we want to look at the secrets that are able to enhance our speed in leadership, enhance our effectiveness towards getting so much done, even with so little or with such a time. Now, verse 9 and verse 10 show us a few things. It says "you confess with your mouth." So, we are not ambiguous what you should with your mouth. However it says "and believe in your heart." If you can do that, if you can confess with your mouth, if you can believe with your heart, then you will be saved. The ultimate thing is that you become a saved person. And so, if we are looking at the goal, the goal is that you should be saved.
However, for you to be saved, you must believe in your heart. And if you will ever confess, it must be because you have believed. And so, there is the place of believing in your heart, there is also the place of confessing with your mouth, and there is also the place for being saved. And we want to replace being saved with getting something done. Because the real thing that must be done is that you become saved. How you become saved is only what we must summarize as the process of getting some things done. Because if you can get some things done in your leadership, so much will be saved. So much money will be saved, so much people will be saved, so much time will be saved and in fact, the lives of your people will become better.
If this will ever happen, then you must believe in your heart. And it is after you have believed in your heart that you must confess with your mouth, and haven confessed with your mouth; then you get the job done. Now, the Bible gave us two important part of the body that works in producing result in our lives. It says: We believe in our heart and then, we confess with our mouth. If we can do this, we will be saved. Now, there is a place in Ecclesiastes 9:10 that I want us to read. Ecclesiastes 9:10, the Bible says: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." One thing that I have realized is that while the Scriptures in Romans 10 that we read did not mention the hand, there is a place of your hands even as much as your mouth and your heart has a place.
In your heart you believe, with your mouth you speak, and then with your hands you get the job done. These are the things that I have learnt reading this book of Romans 10:9-10 which is able to help me get so much done. If I want to do so much, the foundation is that I must have so much believe in my heart. I must believe in what I want to do. I must be convinced in it, I must be persuaded about it, there must be something so strong in my heart about that thing I want to do. Now, haven been persuaded with it, I must get to the level where I speak about it. Whatever I love get done, I should speak about it. So, from the conviction of my heart, it becomes my communication.
I communicate my dreams, I communicate my persuasions, I communicate my convictions. The things I desire, the things I have thought about, I speak it. And so, when you believe in your heart and you speak with your mouth, what happens is that it becomes something in your hands that you must do with all your might. Until it leaves your mouth, it cannot get into your hands. And that is important for you to understand as a leader. The first thing is that it comes to your heart. Now when it has gone through all the processes in your heart, it comes to your mouth. For the Bible says in Matthew 12:34 "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." So, when it has gone through all the phases of your heart, it comes to your mouth.
How we know what is in your heart is by the words of your mouth, your communication. Your communication shows us the things that are rooted in your heart. So, if it is in your heart, it will get to your mouth. Now when it has fully gone through your mouth, it will get into your hands. Now the Bible says whatever your hands finds to do, whatever has left your heart into your hands; do it with all your might. And if that can be done, then you will get so much done in so little time. See what the Bible says Proverbs 23:7. It says "For as he thinks in his heart so is he." That shows us the summary of the three phases that we have seen. It comes to your heart, and haven been well pondered on; and well processed in your heart, it comes into your mouth, and when it goes through your mouth, it lands in your hands. And then it becomes your career, it becomes your work, it becomes your ministry, it becomes your cause that you want to pursue. It becomes the burden of your heart that you want to live for. And that is it.
Now, if it does not fully pass through your heart, it will not finally get into your mouth. And if it does not get into your mouth, it cannot get into your hands. If it does not get into your hands, then it cannot become a productive product or something tangible for others to see. So your great dreams, your great vision are not meant to just lie fallow or idle in your heart. They must graduate into your mouth and from your mouth they must come into your hands. You must start building according to the convictions of your heart. You must start producing or establishing businesses or organizations based on the convictions that are in your heart and the communication of your mouth.
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and your hands find something to do. So, if you want to execute in leadership, very efficiently and effectively; then you must learn to believe, you must learn to speak and you must learn to do. From your conviction comes your communication and from your communication comes your competencies, the things you can do and the things you do. And so, if your faith is strong enough, if you are persuaded about something; it should therefore become the foundation for the things you say. And when you have spoken enough, you must then have a work you have to do.
So, from your word must come your work. From the things you say must come the things you do. The things you say are products of your heart. When things comes into your heart, they must not die there. You must ponder on them until they come out of your mouth. Speak about them, speak of them, speak for them. And when it has been well spoken through your mouth, it become substances that you can bear in your hand. I am sure you remember for mothers who have children that they carry today, you know the thing did not began like that. There was a time when they conceived in their womb, and after a very long time; they are able to deliver. And haven delivered, they can carry their babies in their hands. And so, that is how life is.
If you must get your babies, your great dreams, to the point where you can carry them in your hands, you must allow them to pass through these three phases: From your heart, to your mouth and to your hands. Things that come into your heart should get into your mouth. Things that get into your mouth should eventually get into your hands. And whatever your hands find to do, you must do it with all your might, knowing fully well that what you are doing is what you are persuaded about. It is what you have spoken aforetime, and it is coming only to reality.
That is how to get so much done in leadership. You cannot be busy doing things that you are not persuaded about. You cannot go about from places to places, platforms to platforms deceiving your true self. You must listen to yourself, ponder on the things in your heart, meditate on them, think about them and let them get to the point where you are able to speak about them to people, speak about them in places and you are even able to speak to yourself about them, and let your words become tangible things that you are able to carry in your hands, defend with your life, that you are able to bear and take them to logical conclusion.
That is the word that has been laid in my heart today for you: The Secret For Effective Execution In Leadership. So much can be done by us if we understand the phases of execution. It comes to your heart, it gets into your mouth and it terminates in your hands. And when they get into your hands, they must become what you live and die for. That is how to execute so much, and I trust that God's grace will be sufficient for you even in the cause of your leadership that you have so much to show even after now.
Don't forget, it is not enough for you to be busy, it is important that you are effective. Effective execution requires that you do things that originates from your heart, that gets into your mouth and gets done through your hands. And I trust that God will continue to multiply everything that you labor for and the works of your hands will be blessed by the Lord God Almighty.
God bless you.
