Hello, great to have you join me again on Life Treatment on this episode, I am so excited to have you around. I believe that you have been getting blessed and gleaning wisdom on the previous episodes of life treatment. I am Lara Gboyega Adedeji. And today we will be looking at another life issue and this is so critical, this is so important for everyone in life, we want to make sure we cross this hurdle, we want to make sure that this issue is not prevalent in our lives. What are we looking at today? We are looking at DEFEAT.
On this episode we will be looking at the treatment for defeat. So, what is defeat when you come across this issue in your life, how will you know that you are faced with defeat? Defeat is a situation where you are being conquered, you are facing an opposition in a fight or in a war or in a competition as it were and you are being conquered, your back is towards the ground. So, in any area of your life where your back is on the ground, meaning you are experiencing defeat. So, to be defeated is to be conquered by someone in a fight, in a war or in a competition. To be overcome by something or by someone. That is defeat.
So, what is the treatment for defeat? I am sure like you have heard it and you know it that defeat is not a state in our lives that we want to be in. It is not a state where we are pleased and excited about. And it’s always very good that we treat and overcome and check out of this particular issue of defeat. I am going to share a Scripture with us from 1 John 5:4, as the treatment for defeat. It says; “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.” That’s the introduction; For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. “And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
So, the treatment for defeat is actually victory. But how do you attain this victory? How do you get into this point where you are victorious, where you are able to conquer defeat in your life? It is by being born of God, by being born of the one that has conquered the whole world, that actually made the whole world. Because it is important we understand this; that for you to have a very great warrior, meaning that, that person that is being mentored by a great warrior is only going to become a great warrior.
Because when a servant or a disciple is made perfect that disciple will be just like his master. So, the Bible makes us to understand that to be victorious in life, to make sure that your back is not on the ground in any area of your life, you need to come and enroll in the school of God. You need to be born of God, you need to be adopted by the greatest victor of all times and that is God. So, in any area of your life whether in parenting or financing or it’s in your marriage, or its in business; whatever area of your life or in ministry, or in your academics where you are defeated, your back is against the floor, where you have been put down, you have been overthrown, you have been overcome, and you have been conquered by something or someone, you need to come to the one that can show you the strategy.
The strategy of wining all the time. A strategy of not losing for a day, it’s in God. So, whatever is born of God overcomes the whole cosmos system, the entire system of the world, whoever is born of God overcomes it. And this is the victory, this is how you attain the victory, this is how you arm yourself with the victory, this is how you get the treatment for defeat. Your faith! you must believe in God and believe that God has wired you for victory. You must believe in God and believe that He has made you to do it, you must believe that you can.
A Scripture says I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I can, I am not defeated, “I can’t” is a defeated statement, “I can” is a victorious statement and that statement can only be made boldly in God. So, for you to actually come to that place of persistent and consistent victory, you have to be born of God, you have to come to the school of the victors, you have to come and be enrolled under the master victor of the whole universe and He will teach you the strategies, He will teach you the architecture that makes victory possible all the time and not just some time. He will teach you what it takes to always overcome and to conquer. And I believe as you make that decision and that choice to enroll in the School of victory in God, you will experience untold victory in every area of your life.
