God in His goodness, mercy and graciousness has led us this month on REVELATION SERIES. Because when God sends His word, it’s a picture of what He is about to do in the midst of a people or with a people. God does not send His word just like that. The Bible says; “He sent His word and it healed them and delivered them from their destruction.” So, the word that the Lord sent to the people is a word of deliverance and salvation because it is what He wants to do in the midst of the people.
So, when He sends His words to us, we must be discerning enough and sensitive in the spirit to know that the handwriting that God is writing in this season is about what He Himself has prepared to do. It is not what any man sat down in a corner to brew out. It is about what God wants to do. So, in this month of August, we have been led in the REVELATION SERIES and God has used His vessels of utterance to bring God’s word to us. And this morning we will be going further in that series and trusting the Holy Spirit to help us understand more what it is.
Because He said emphatically to us that in this month of August, it is the month for us to see the ways and understand the ways of God. And we read Psalm 103:7. It says “God revealed His ways to Moses And His acts to the children of Israel.” So, the ways of God are revealed, the ways of God are not picked up on the side of the streets. They are revealed. So, God revealed His ways to Moses. In Exodus 33:13, Moses prayed a prayer, He said; “God show me your glory” You don’t show something, if it is out there. You are shown because that thing is sealed, it has been hidden before, then it is made known.
Showing is revealing and Moses prayed that prayer in Exodus 33:13; “Lord if I have found favor in your sight, if you will show me your graciousness, show me your glory.” And the Bible says in Psalm 103:7, that that prayer of Moses was answered because God showed Moses His ways, He showed him His glory and His acts were all that the children of Israel saw. And God said to us that this month of August, He is going to be showing us, revealing to us, revealing His ways, so that we can chat the course of a generation, and we are a people that diffuse the fragrance of the knowledge of God, and we show people the way.
Jesus said; “I am the way, the truth and the life” and Apostle Paul said; “imitate me as I imitate Christ.” I follow the way, so when you follow me, you will see the way, the way will be revealed to you, and that is who God wants us to become, men and women that can show our generation the way, that can show them who God is and this is what God is doing at this time.
Today under the instruction of the Holy Spirit, we will be looking at the Revelation-Based Kingdom. We have looked at that Psalm 103:7, “God showed His ways to Moses, and His acts to the children of Israel.” And I want us to see Job 12:22. We will start our consideration from there, we will look at several Scriptures. Please I would love you to follow me closely this morning as the Holy Spirit leads us. It’s the first Scripture we will read this morning. Job 12:22. The Bible says; “He uncovers deep things out of darkness” The person that is being spoken about here is not a man, It's God. He uncovers. You uncover what has been covered, isn’t it?
It said; “He uncovers deep things out of darkness and brings the shadow of death to light.” He uncovers deep things out of darkness. Darkness here talks about a state of hiding. When something is in darkness, it is hidden. It is covered. But the Bible says concerning God, that He is the one that uncovers deep things out of darkness and brings the shadow of death to light. I want us to see Daniel 2:22. As we read these Scriptures, they serve as backgrounds for us as we journey along with the Holy Spirit. Daniel 2:22. It says; “He reveals deep and secret things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.”
Job 12:22 and Daniel 2:22, are they not talking about the same attributes of God? He reveals deep things, He uncovers, that's how Job puts it in Job 12. And Daniel says; “He reveals deep things and light dwells with Him." In Jeremiah 33:3, it says; “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” You do not know them because they are hidden in the deep. They are hidden in darkness. But the Bible says God is the one that uncovers deep things. And He brings to light things that are in darkness. That in the shadow of death.
So, when we are talking about God, you must understand the God that we are talking about. He is a revealer. That's His personality. Proverbs 25:2 made us to understand that, it the glory of God to conceal a thing. God glories in concealing, but at the same time He has given us the responsibility to search it out. Because the Bible makes us to understand in Revelations that “He has made us King's and priest unto our God. And so that we will reign on the earth.”
How do we reign on the earth? By uncovering. It says the glory of God is to conceal a matter, but it is also the honor of King's to search out. So, in the Kingdom that we are, our king is a revealer. Our king reveals, He doesn't reveal things that are on the surface, the Bible calls them deep things. Things that are hidden in darkness, and that's why child of God this morning the Holy Spirit wants to burst your bubble. Don't ever think you have arrived. When we say deep calls unto the deep it is the truth.
In the Kingdom of God, there are deep things. Deep things are not on the surface, the earthly realm gives us a picture, it’s a shadow of the real thing. When you are looking for treasures, when you are looking for major things that gives for wealth and value, do you see them on the surface? No! They are deep. If Nigeria is going to explore crude oil, do they see it on the street? No! They go deep. If they are going to mine gold, is it on the surface? No! They go deep. So, if natural things can give us a representation that value is not on the surface, why do we think that spiritual things follow that manner? No!
You want to know God; you journey with Him to the deep. My brothers and sisters God is deep. He is deeper than you know. He is a good Father, He is a loving Father, but the Kingdom we live in is a revelation-based Kingdom. The deeper you go the more value you receive. The deeper you go the more experience you have.
Remember Ezekiel 47, when the Holy Spirit was teaching us about Deeper Dimensions that deep calls unto deep, there is an ankle experience, that is all there is to it. All that you can access is on what is on the ankle. And there is a knee experience, all that you can attract is what is on the knee. There is a waist experience, all that you can attract is what is on the waist. But there is a dimension of deep that you will get to where the water becomes too deep to swim. Such that you need to swim in. You can't cross it in your own strength. You can't reach it on your power and that's why the Bible says “it's not by power, it's not by might but by My Spirit says the Lord of Hosts.”
You can't reach this deeper dimension if the Holy Spirit is not hovering over your life. In Genesis 1, it says; “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep” It was deep. And nothing happened until the Holy Spirit starts hovering over the face of the deep. And when the Holy Spirit starts hovering over the face of the deep God said "let there be light" because He is a revealer. Hitherto everything has been hidden, hitherto everything has been sealed, until God said let there be light. And there was revelation.
The Kingdom of God started with revelation; it doesn't stop with you. Revelation is the basis of this Kingdom. You can't move far; you can't attain much if you are not revelation-based. Because this Kingdom is about revelation. The more you know the more you attain, the more you know the more you are able to receive. Call unto Me and I will answer you and I will show you great and mighty things that you don't know. There are things you don't know until you receive that invitation. Revelation is an invitation to the deep. When God calls you to the deep, when God invites you and says His deep is calling you into a deep experience, it's for revelation. It's for mysteries to be raveled and access to be granted.
Until you are revealed to; you don't have access. The devil said to the seven sons of Sceva, “see do you have revelation of this Jesus?” No! Paul, I know him, he has revelation about Jesus, Jesus I know He is actually the revealed one. Who are you? Access cannot be granted to you if you don't have revelation. Access in the Kingdom is given by revelation. In revelation, John did not know so many things, in fact John had been a disciple that had walked with Jesus physically on the face of the earth. I want us to see Revelations 1:9-17 to see the encounter of John.
I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and Kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.” 12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him;
When the revealed Christ, the glorified Christ was shown to me, what did it say happened? “I fell at His feet as dead.” This was the same John that was at the bosom of Jesus when Jesus was on the face of the earth, that followed Him, that heard Him, until he was revealed to, he never knew that out of His mouth proceeded two-edged sword. He did not know the true picture. The deep picture of the glorified Christ. And see, if you don't know, you can't gain understanding. If you don't gain understanding, you can't access wisdom. That's how it works in the Kingdom. And that's why you will see throughout the Epistles of Paul, he was always talking about knowledge. That you will know. In fact, he prayed a prayer for himself. “That I may know Him" because if I know Him, if He is revealed to me my life will not remain the same again.
This Kingdom is Revelation-Based. When John saw the revealed glorified Christ, he said I fell at His feet as dead. “But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.” And He started reintroducing Himself to him down to verse 20. Jesus started reintroducing Himself to John. There are some realms of revelations where God needs to be reintroduced to us. We have known what people said about God, but what has God revealed to us about Himself? Until John saw this, John was an apostle, in fact he was a strong pillar in the church at this point. At this point John wasn't just a believer, he was not just a brother. John was an apostle. But when he saw revelation, his apostleship was nothing in the face of revelation. This Kingdom is Revelation-Based. How much do you know? And that's why Jesus said in the beatitudes, “blessed are those that hunger and thirst” because that is the prerequisite for searching the deep. Hunger and thirst.
This revelation we are talking about is the heart beat of God for His sons. Because until we are revealed to, we can't manifest. And you are saying okay don't I know the Scriptures? I have been reading the Scripture since when I was a little child. In fact, memory verses that I know they are so much. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. Until Paul was revealed to, even Peter did not know that this message of the gospel can be preached to the Gentiles. Revelations calls for manifestation. You can't receive revelation and not manifest. The Bible says the earnest expectation of creations await the manifestation of the sons of God. What is delaying that manifestation? Revelation! It Said they are waiting for the revealing. How can you be revealed, when you have not been revealed to? Paul never came on the scene as part of the church until the encounter on the road to Damascus. Where he was revealed to by the light of Christ.
The light interrupted his destiny and Jesus said to Him, "Saul why are you persecuting Me?" Do you think you can kick against the goads? He said “Lord what should I do?” And His journey of revelation started. What journey are you on with God? What has been revealed to you? You can never manifest without revelation. I want us to see Ephesians 3. Because I would love you to see it from the pages of the Scripture.
Ephesians 3:1-5:“For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you” That's a deep thing sir. Did you see that verse two: “which was given to me for you”, I received it, it was given to me to you. Revelation is given. When I was studying the book of Revelations, I realized that the way this Kingdom operates, you don't just jump on the scene. Even angels don't just manifest. The Bible records saying "and the angel was given authority." Even the devil, even the Antichrist.
It says and the beast was given authority. You can't manifest without being given the authority. It said: "the dispensation of grace which was given to me" What has been given to you? Is what has been revealed to you. "How that by revelation" did we see that? It did not come any other way; it came by revelation. "He made known to me the Mysteries" what God reveals are mysteries. Your human understanding cannot comprehend it. You can't sit-down as a professor and think you can bring it out. It's revealed, it's given to you. Because revelation belongs to God, it's a prerogative of God.
See what it says; “how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)” Did you see that revelation is tied to knowledge? “which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men” Before it was hidden, it was sealed up, “as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets “ Revelations 5:1-5: “And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed” The one sitting on the throne is God. He had a scroll in His hand and the Bible says; “it was sealed, covered, with seven seals 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to lose its seals?” See announcement in heaven, who is worthy, who can reveal what God has sealed? Who is the person? Who is the personality that can reveal what has been sealed by God? Verse 3 “And no one in heaven or on the earth.”
So that you will know that revelation does not come from anyone on the earth or anyone else in heaven but from Christ. No one in heaven, not even the four living creatures, not even the 24 elders, not even the strong angel. “And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.” The devil cannot do it. Revelation is not with the devil, and that's why when you see the manifestation of those that got their power from the occult and from the devil, there is no revelation. Because revelation is a prerogative of God. You can't get it anywhere else. There are mysteries in God that can only be revealed by Christ. Was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. That’s even more serious. They can’t even open it; they can’t look at it.
That's how strong this revelation is. “But one of the elders said to me; do not weep”, because John at this point was hopeless. That this is the very thing we need. This is the very thing our existence is dependent upon. You are saying no one? No one in heaven? No one on earth? No one under the earth can help us reveal this? It says; “But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed” This is the reason why He can open and look at it. “He has prevailed to open the Scroll and loose it's seven seals.” He can reveal, because He has prevailed. “And I looked and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.” Jesus Christ our Lord is the revealer. In Daniel and Job. They wrote that God is the one that uncovers. He is the one that reveals the deep things. Now see why Jesus is the one that reveals now.
Matthew 28:18. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me” The reason why Jesus Chris is now our revealer is because all authority, has been given to Him. In heaven and on earth. All authority! Authority to reveal, so Jesus now gives that authority to us. In Ephesians 4:7. “But to each one of us grace was given” All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Christ, and it says; “to each one of us grace has been given, according to the measure of Christ gift.” We have now been given the grace to know. Because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Christ Jesus.
I want us to see Matthew 16:17 so that we will understand that this Kingdom is revelation-based. Matthew 16:17-20, see what happened between Jesus and Peter. Jesus was asking His disciples before this time. He said who do people say that I am? They said all manner of things. He now said to them: since you are confused about the revelation that people have; what is your personal revelation about Me? What is your personal revelation about Jesus? He went direct and all of them started saying all manner of things. And Jesus was looking at them until Peter said in verse 16: "Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you”
Because what you said now is a revelation. What came out of your mouth now is a revelation. It's not on the streets. This is not what the Pharisees are saying. This not what the Sadducees are saying. This is not common placed. This is deep. “For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you." So, flesh and blood cannot reveal revelation to you. Revelation is not revealed in flesh and blood. It says; who revealed to you? “But My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church” So, the church of Christ is the Kingdom of Christ and He said the Kingdom of Christ will be built on revelation. That's why I know that this Kingdom is a revelation-based Kingdom.
You are Peter, you are a rock, just like you are a rock this revelation is such a solid rock and on revelation I will build my Kingdom. On revelation the Kingdom of Christ is built. So, if you want to have a part in His Kingdom. You must be revelation conscious. It says; "I will build my church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it" Why? Because we are standing on revelation. The reason the devil has tried and failed over the church is because of the revelation of Christ. We are standing on a revelation that cannot be shaken; that Christ is the Son of the living God. It says; "and I will give you" so that we understand that this is an important matter. Jesus did not stop there, He said; "I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven" those that have access to revelation have access to the keys.
You are a Christian and it looks as if things are not working. Are you standing on revelation? Are you revelation-based? Because if you are standing on revelation, you have the keys. What do we use keys for? For access. So, revelations grant you access to the Kingdom of heaven. “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Such is the authority we have based on revelation. Why do you think the devil is after the word of God? When you read the Scripture, did it say the devil comes to steal your prayer? Why is it the word of God? It said and the birds of the air will come and snatch it out. Because that word must not seat and become revelation to that person. Because when it becomes revelation in that person it becomes a problem for the devil. Because you already have the key.
The efforts of the devil towards sons and daughters of the Kingdom that has revelation is futile, he will try and fail because they have the keys. Revelation hands us the keys of the Kingdom. That's why the Bible says concerning Jesus; It says He has the key of David. Whatever door He closes is shut permanently, whatever door He opens, is opened permanently. Revelation gives you access to the Kingdom. Revelation separates men in the Kingdom.
The reason why the seven sons of Sceva will be beaten black and blue by the devil is lack of revelation. The reason why Paul will cast out demons and will see a little girl following him and actually saying Paul the mighty man of God and He will still turn around and cast out the demon in her. Revelation. What separate sons, and allow sons to manifest in the Kingdom is revelation. There were so many people in the time of Paul but it was not all of them that it was revealed to. He was the one that was given the revelation. You have no authority except it's given. John 19:11. Jesus was saying to Pilate; you have no authority over Me except it has been given to you. And that's a deep mystery. I want us to see it as we close. Jesus shared such a deep mystery. “Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore, the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
You are having this power now because it has been given to you. Because you have not sinned against me, you have only been given the power to operate at this time. No one has power over you except they have been given. The authority and the power of Jesus in our lives is because it has been given. The Bible says He has been given a name that is above any other name. That the mention of the name of Jesus every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
This Kingdom is about revelation, what do you know? What you know separates you in this Kingdom. There was something that woman knew that when her son died, she laid the son on the bed and took a journey to Elisha and said “man of God I told you not to lie to me. I know if God gives me something, He will not take it in mid-day.” And they were asking what is wrong? And she said “all is well.” It has to be well if God is involved. And she had her child back to life. The Bible says “this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith” in what has been revealed to us. Our conviction.
What has been revealed to you? Are you living your life as a pauper in the Kingdom because of ignorance? God said “my people perish for lack of knowledge.” What you know in this Kingdom separates you.
I believe you have been blessed!
