Please Read: The Destiny of The Character of Every Believer Pt 1 Here
So we are looking at the believer’s character, the destiny of the believer’s character, not just a man. I want us to note it. Jesus was talking to a class of people. He is not talking to men generally. He is talking to believers. He said ‘He who believes in me’. He is talking to those who are qualified for the believer’s destiny, those that are qualified for this experience. They are righteous men, they are believers. "The works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father".
He said in John.14:13 ‘And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son’.
And He repeated in John.14:14 – ‘If you ask anything in My name, I will do it’.
Jesus was not making a feel good statement, He was not making a statement to feel cool. As His disciples, as believers; He is telling us the destiny of our character, the destiny of our personality, the destiny of our nature because you carry this same nature. ‘What I do you will do it also’, there is nothing special about what I do, it’s about the nature and the personality that I carry.
So, if you have the same nature and the same personality you will do it also and you will even do greater. He then said ‘whatever you ask your father, he will give it to you’ then He said ‘In fact, ask anything in my name, I will do it’, that's the destiny of a believer’ character. In this image of God and in this likeness of God, we have whatever we declare in our prayers. Whatever we declare! He repeated the same thing in Matthew 21:22: ‘And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receive.
The destiny of a believer is tied to his words, the words he speaks before God and declares in prayers He will have it.
18 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)
Prov.13.2 – A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
Proverbs 3.2 (NKJV)
As a believer, the Bible says in Genesis 1 after the order of God you will have whatever you say. God said ‘let there be light’ and there was light. He had what He declared, He experienced it, they came into being. The same way in the image and in the likeness of God, when you declare a thing, it will come to pass. When you declare a thing, it shall be established, whatever you declare when you pray, you shall have it. When two of you agree on a thing, you will have whatever you say, that's a believer’s destiny. Your words are powerful, after the image and order of God. The personality of God is a speaking creative Spirit; so He created all things, He created His experiences by His words. The same way after the image and after the nature and personality of God, you create your experiences and your destiny by your words as a believer.
Until we start walking after the image and order of God, we can’t experience and walk in the fullness of all these. When there was a raging storm and the disciples were there, Jesus was sleeping and they woke Him up, ‘Master, do you not care that we perish" and He looked at them, He pitied them because He knew what He was about to do, they could do it. They could change their circumstance and situations by their words but all of them were rather troubled, all of them were consumed in fear and He came out and said " peace be still " and the raging storm stopped and the people marveled and they asked; who is this man? Because that’s the question that would be asked whenever we step into the image and the personality of God, when we step into the supernatural and people will begin to marvel. And they said ‘who is this man? even the winds and the sea obey Him’. That is a man that is the express image of the invisible God.
And Jesus said ‘what I do you will do also and greater works you will do’, not because you are fine, not because you are tall, not because you belong to a denomination but because you believe in me and you are also in the image and in the likeness, the nature and the personality of God. That’s why you will do it, not because they call you pastor, not because they call you sister, it is not tied to title. It is a personality, it is a nature, you have the nature you command the experience, when there is a personality shift, there is always a destiny shift.
So if we continue to wallow in ignorance. We will continue to experience defeat. God said my people perish for they lack knowledge, they don't know who they are, they don't know the power that resides in them, they don't understand their nature, they don't understand their personality.
And that's why I am always saying that so many people will cry in heaven, not that they were judged to hell but because they would feel there are so many lands they would have conquered for God. So many things they would have become in the hand of God that they did not experience because of their limited mentality. And I pray that will not be our experience in the name of Jesus.
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Galatians 5: 16-23 (NKJV)
Number two point is; Your destiny as a believer is in the Spirit.
The Bible says ‘walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, if you walk in the Spirit you will live in the Spirit’.
It says in Galatians 5: 25 – ‘If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit’.
And in Galatians 6:7 – ‘Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap’. -So whatever personality, whatever mentality, a man sows that would be His destiny

And He said in Galatians 6:8 – ‘For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life’. -So, if you sow in the flesh, you will of the flesh reap corruption, if you sow in the Spirit, understanding who you are, that you are a spirit being you will reap everlasting life, that's your destiny. So until your mentality shift from flesh to spirit, you will not enjoy the destiny of the spirit. If your mentality is flesh, like Galatians chapter 5:12-19 ‘the works of the flesh are evident’, these are the produce, the destination of the flesh, this is whom you would become in the flesh. And he listed them and in verse 22 and the fruit of the spirit, the result, the destiny, of the spirit is ‘Love’ and he said ‘if you sow in the Spirit’ in chapter 6 verse 8, you will reap everlasting life.
In 1 John, the Bible says this is what God has promised us, eternal life. That's our destiny in heaven, but you cannot achieve that destiny until your mentality shifts, until your personality shifts, until you completely understand the image, the nature and the personality of God and you align yourself properly with it. That’s why it’s a pity for many people that seek God outside Jesus, how do you align with God? If you have not aligned with His Son, how do you connect with God when you have not connected with His Son?
That's why Jesus said ‘I am the way, the truth and the life no one comes to the father except by me’. Because I am the express image of the invisible God so walk in the Spirit and live in the Spirit and you will reap everlasting life.
Number three; I want us to see 2 Timothy 2:15-19
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."
2 Timothy 2:15-19 (NKJV)
Be diligent to examine yourself. We noted as part of the character and nature of God is that He examines and appraises His works. So if you are in the image and in the likeness of God you must take heed to yourself. In 1Timothy 4:16 it says ‘take heed to yourself, be diligent to examine yourself, examine the way you are going, examine the life you are living, examine what enters your ear gate and your eye gate, examine the things that surrounds you’.
And that's what Jesus did when Peter was in the Spirit, Jesus recognized it, He said ‘flesh and blood has not revealed this to you Peter but my Father in heaven’. And when Peter said ‘Master, you will not die’, He said ‘get yea behind me Satan’. So he took heed to himself. He was examining Himself, He didn't say because Peter was close to Him, He didn't say Peter has been hanging around Him for so long, He was discerning, He was sensitive, He was diligent to examine or appraise Himself.
And as a believer our destiny will not be sure, our destiny in God will not be ascertained if we do not take time to examine ourselves. Examine yourself, take heed lest you fall as a believer, take heed, make sure you are standing correctly, make sure you are standing firmly.
Number four, which is our last point. Luke 6:27-38. I will just read a portion of it. Jesus was talking about a mentality shift here from verse 27. Then, it says in verse 30.
Luke 6:30 – Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
And He continued like that and in verse 36;
Luke.6.36 – Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Then in verse 38 He says give, this is the summary of the whole thing we have been saying from verse 27
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
God blesses and gives. For you to enjoy your destiny in God as a believer you must a giver, what leaves your hand does not leave your life. When God wanted to gain the whole world to Himself He gave His son but Jesus did not leave. The Bible says after He was done with the assignment, He ascended back to the right hand of the father glorified.
So as believers, we must walk in this image, correct image. When some people are telling you, ‘don't mind these people, what they are saying? just live your life, just be righteous’. It’s not enough, God gives. "Give and it shall be given to you," you can't expunge that from the Scriptures and giving does not necessarily have to be money. When you read from verse 27, it talks about so many things. It’s not just tied to money.
‘Give and it shall be given to you’. Give whatever you want men to give to you. Give to them. And that’s why it says ‘owe no man anything but love’. Give love without thinking. That's the kind of personality and mentality that God wants to have. Many believers think when they give they will be empty. It’s not true! What leaves your hand does not leave your life. God gave us that example, He gave Jesus and He got Him back. Abraham gave Isaac and got Him back, He got back Isaac and a covenant from God.
Give! For you to enjoy your destiny in God, your everlasting destiny, your abundant life destiny, you must understand your nature, your personality and be properly aligned. What will necessarily happen to you in the future is a product of your personality and nature not wishes, ‘like you know as I am just sitting down now, I just wish I have an airplane’. It doesn't come like that, there is a person you must become. There is a nature you must have, there is a mentality you must possess and until those things fall in place you can't experience a destiny shift. And I pray the Lord will help us in the name of Jesus.
