Providing Solutions Through Prayers: Bringing The Mandate of God To Bear on The Earth Ravaged By Coronavirus

It’s such a wonderful time to be alive because the truth is this, no matter what is going on all around us, we have this confidence that God is for us and not against us. No matter what is going on in the world, we know that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. No matter what is going on around us, God said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. No matter what is going on in the world, we know for certain, this truth that the Lord God is seated on the throne and the earth is still His footstool and He rules in the affairs of men. Let God be true and every man a liar. Let God be true and every circumstance or happenings be lies. God is true.

Listen to Podcast: PROVIDING SOLUTIONS THROUGH PRAYERS

God has been leading us in this month of March on a series Leading by Prayers and we started by Introduction to prayer, we looked at Kingdom Focused Prayers, we looked at Discipling Nations through Prayers and last week, our brother brought God’s word on Five Essential Keys to Praying through and I believe that this series has been such a  blessing to us and even in this period where we are isolating to Christ, it’s a message that we should all go back to because God has actually been preparing us for this time that see, in this time, you can make waves for the kingdom in the place of prayer. On your knees, you can command happenings, you can command solutions and that’s what the Holy Spirit will be leading us on to complete this series today, Providing Solutions through Prayers.

Very quickly, I want to start by observing a verse in Nehemiah because you see that situations like this, devastating situations, heart breaking situations have always been happening at different times, at different places and I want us to see Nehemiah chapter 1, we will start by looking at that, Nehemiah chapter 1, we will read verse 3 to 11, The Bible says,

3 And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.” 4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. 5 And I said: “I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe [d]Your commandments, 6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned. 7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses. 8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; 9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’ 10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. 11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Nehemiah 1:3-11

And they said to me, something happened in the time of Nehemiah and they said to him, they brought a news to Nehemiah and they said the survivors who are left of the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. An event has happened. Something happened away from where you are and it says the survivors who are left from the captivity in the province, they are in great distress and reproach, the wall of Jerusalem, the wall of security, the wall of health in Jerusalem is also broken down. The immune system of people are failing, the wall of Jerusalem is broken down. And its gates are burned with fire. This was the report that Nehemiah received. So, it was when I heard these words that I sat down and wept and mourned for many days. And if we had stopped there, you would have been thinking, what was Nehemiah doing, how can you just be crying? Is crying the solution? And he said, I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. I wasn’t just crying a foolish man’s cry. I wasn’t just crying a hopeless cry. He said, I cried and mourned and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

And he said, I want us to go through the prayers, verse 5 he said, And I said, I pray Lord God of heaven, oh great and awesome God, he didn’t curse God, he didn’t say God you are the reason this happened, that God if you were awake, this will not have happened, He said I pray  Lord God of heaven, oh great and awesome God, you who keep your covenant and mercy with those who love you and observe your commandments. Please let your ear be attentive and your eyes  opened that you may hear the prayer of your servant which I pray before you now, day and night for the children of Israel, your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against you, both my fathers’ house and I have sinned, we have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statuses, nor the ordinances which you commanded your servant Moses. Remember I pray, the word that you commanded your servant Moses saying, if you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations but if you return to me and  keep my commandments and do them. Can you see how a man is praying intentionally?

You know when we started this series, we were introduced to prayer, that prayer is talking to God, communicating with God. You are talking to God and God is talking right back at you. You are talking to God and God is also speaking to you. That is prayer. And you will see in this conversation of Nehemiah with God, which is his prayer, you will see that he acknowledged God. He revered God, he did not curse God, he did not murmur or complain. You can’t be praying to God and be complaining and God still gives attention, and gives ear to your prayer.

You must understand who God is, the Bible says that those that come to God must know that God is, you must know who He is. He is the great, almighty, fearful God. The Bible says concerning God, that He is so dynamic that people that stay in front of Him, day and night, every time they behold Him, they cast their crowns at His feet and they worship him. The 24 elders will cast their crowns and worship God all the time because they see that this God is a fearful God. He is a dynamic God. He is not your servant. He is not your errand boy. He is the Lord God Almighty, God in a class of His own. God is not a man that He would lie nor the son of man that He would repent. God is God. He is no man.

So, when I hear all manner of things that people say because you are in a trying time, because you are in a difficult time and you forget the protocol to enter into the presence of God and you forget the God that you have and you belong to. Because you are the son of your father does not give you a right to insult your father. Because you have a relationship so to say, or you have proximity of closeness to your father, it doesn’t mean that you take familiarity for contempt. You don’t contempt God no matter what you are going through. Job understood it. His wife said ‘curse God and die, what are you living for? If God can allow all these things to happen to you, why should you even be revering him? Why should you be worshipping him? Why should you be serving him?  Is God not seeing what you are going through?’ And Job said ‘you are speaking like one of those foolish women. Do you know God? He is a giver of all good things, I have received so much  good from Him, if He wants  to just introduce this small difficult time, I will wait, for I know my redeemer liveth, I will wait on him because I know my God’.

That’s why the Bible says, that those that know their God, they shall be strong. Why do you need strength if all is well? Why do you need strength if all is palatable? You need strength for difficult things, you need strength for difficult times. You need strength when things are rough and tough. He said, those that know their God, they shall be strong so no matter the times that come upon them, they shall have strength in God. He said, they shall be strong and because of their strength in God, they will carry out great exploits. So, this is not a time to murmur and complain and say God are you not looking, are you not seeing what is happening? Don’t contempt God. Oh daughter of God, don’t! Son of God, don’t!

Your God, His eyes are not blind, the Bible talks of Him, He neither sleeps nor slumbers, so He is aware, He can see. Let’s be mindful of it, don’t contempt God. Don’t be overwhelmed by people’s talks and say yes it’s true, but is God not truly seeing? Don’t! He is the Lord God. He is fearful. We must rever him. And that was what Nehemiah did, even though he heard a bad news, even though he heard that perilous time has come upon his people, he didn’t curse God, he revered him.

And something important that he did in verse 8, he said remember I pray thee the word, this is a time to check to check whether you actually know the word. He said remember I pray, the word that you commanded, the only thing that you can remind God of is his word. God will do what He wants to do in spite and despite your murmurings and complains, but when you want to engage with God in prayers. God said come , He called out an invitation to every man.  Come let us reason together. You can’t reason with God in your logic and say ‘God really, if you look at China, if you look at Italy and Spain, is it that believers are not there, God, you understand. God, you should soft-pedal small, God, ‘small small’ now, eh, all this people, in fact, it has set a panic in the church, God are you not seeing it?’  That’s not how, you come to God with his word and we will see why it’s so important.

He said remember I pray the word that you commanded your servant Moses saying, if you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though some of you are cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for my name. Now these are your servants and your people whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong arm. Do you see how Nehemiah was engaging God? He said oh Lord I pray please, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants, and desire to fear your name, and let your servant prosper this day I pray and grant him mercy in the sight of this man, for I am the king’s bearer. And when God was going to show up for Nehemiah,

4 Then the king said to me, “What do you request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven. 5 And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may rebuild it.”

Nehemiah 2: 4

He said, then Nehemiah came to the king, did you see the content of his prayer? Because we must be mindful of how we engage God so that when God responds we recognise that this is God at work. When he finished his prayer, He didn’t say God, go and build the wall of Jerusalem, He didn’t say God, as I am praying to you now, send angels to go and build back the wall of Jerusalem. What did he say? He said, I pray, grant your servant mercy in the sigh of this man, who was the man, who was the man? The king, for I am the king’s cup bearer. And in Nehemiah chapter 2 verse 4, it said, then the king said to me what do you request? You know something happened, the king now saw his face. He said why is your face sad since you are not sick?

You know, the king could have kept quiet but because God has provided solution, Nehemiah could not go on his own to do this assignment, he would be stranded. While going from one place to the other, he would have be stuck but see what God did, therefore the king said to him, why is your face? He didn’t go and approach the king himself, He went about his normal duty and God showed mercy. He said you are not sick, this is nothing but sorrow in your heart. Why is the king so concerned? Because God is providing a solution, so, I became dreadfully afraid, that means the king normally does not do it. And he said to the king, may the king live forever, why should not my face be sad when the city, the place of my fathers’ tomb lie waste and its gates are burnt down. Then the king said to me, what do you request? This is how God provided solution to Nehemiah through prayers. He prayed to God concerning his people and he was able to connect with God, because he knew that it was the will of God that his people be salvaged from that situation and he asked God for mercy. And God showed him mercy with the king.

One of the ways in which we know that God provide solutions through prayers in the place of mercy and favour. When you pray to God and you connect with God sincerely, God will reach out to you. God will provide solutions in the place of prayer but that’s not the only thing that God does, for Nehemiah, God showed him mercy, he was able to connect with the solution that his people needed. He needed to be physically there but God gave him favour before the king so the king made provisions available. And we are also going to see Daniel chapter 2, there are so many Scriptures but in that Daniel, God provided solutions severally through prayers. I will read verse 16 to 23. Something happened, the king had a dream that needed interpretation, so Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time that he might tell the king the interpretation.

16 So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation. 17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, 18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven. 20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. 21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. 22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.23 “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

Daniel 2:16-23

Verse 17, then Daniel went to his house and made the decision known to Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael his companions that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning with this secrets. Did you see mercy again? So that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven. And when Daniel was going to answer, And Daniel answered and said, blessed be the same of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things.

Please, I want us to read this place because now Daniel was coming to understand who God is, he said he reveals deep and secret things , he knows what is in the darkness and light dwells in him, I thank you and praise you oh God of my fathers who has given wisdom and might  and have now made known to me what we asked of you. Did you see that part? God didn’t just show up and say ‘Daniel, take interpretation’. God didn’t show up and say  ‘Oya’ Daniel, take solution’. It was through prayers. He said, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s demand. So when you ask God for solution he provides it. Nehemiah asked God. Nehemiah asked God for mercy with the king and God gave him, that was the solution he needed for the problem. Daniel also encountered a problem and God provided solution for Daniel because he asked. And that’s why we keep telling ourselves, what are you asking God? God provides solution.

If there’s a child of God somewhere asking God on his or her knees this period and saying, ‘God, what is the solution to this Covid-19? God will provide it. God, your people are trouble din this time, what is the solution? God will provide it. Economies of nations are shutting down, gradually entering into recession, God, what is the solution? God will provide it. How do I know? In Genesis, there was a boy called Joseph, Pharaoh had a dream, God in his mercies showed Pharaoh what will happen, that the whole nations of the earth will enter a recession. And God gave him a dream and he woke up from the dream, he didn’t understand it but God had provided that solution in a boy called Joseph. God gave him a skill to understand, he was able to understand dreams and interpret them. Many people are having dreams now, leaders are having dreams. I hope there are men and women, children of God, that they’ve demanded in the spirit the skill to understand and God has given it to them because those are the men and women that will become relevant in the next one, two years because of their skill to understand.

Everything that is happening in the world today is defying principles of Economics, principles of financial growth. It is defying so many principles that people have adhered to so new principles must be springing up but through whom shall they spring up? Nobody could interpret the dream of Pharaoh until Joseph came and when Joseph interpreted the dream, this is the dream you had. God showed you seven fat cows and seven slim cows that this is what will happen. Seven years, there will be plenty and for seven years, there will be famine but the famine can be taken care of if we maximize the time of the plenty. He said just find someone that can administrate it. He said, what are you talking about, if you can interpret it, then you can administrate it. That’s how Joseph secured his destiny changing appointment through prayers.

So, God is providing solutions all over the world, the question is as children of God, are we keying in? That Daniel chapter 4 verse 17, there is so much in that Daniel but I just want to read this.

‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers,
And the sentence by the word of the holy ones,
In order that the living may know
That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men,
Gives it to whomever He will,
And sets over it the lowest of men.’

Daniel 4: 17

This was Nebuchadnezzar second dream and he said something, this decision is by the decree of the watchers and the sentence is by the word of the holy ones in order that the living may know that the Most High, that the living may know, all the people of the earth, that they may know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men. God rules in the kingdom of men. He gives it to whomever he will. Let’s not be ignorant, God is working in this season. He said God gives it to whomever he will and he sets over it, the lowest of men. There are people now that some people are looking at, that who is this guy, he just goes to church pray, he sit in his house and he will just be praying and reading his Bible, what is his life about? But God is ruling in the affairs of men, God will be proffering solutions to world problems through the lowest of men because the Bible says, that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, the scientists, the virologists, the people that have PHD and have they have meritous doctorate. God will be using the base things to confound those that are mighty. That’s what God will be doing in the next few months.

Some young men and women that nobody knew before will arise with solutions because they have stayed in the place of prayer. As a child of God, what are you isolating to? What prayers are you praying? Are you praying God provide food for me in this isolation? Are you praying God, let the money in my account not finish? What kind of prayers are you praying? What questions are you asking? What doors are you knocking? Because the doors you are knock are the ones that will open for you. The questions you ask, are the questions you will receive answer for, what you seek is what you will find. So, what are you asking, what are you seeking, what doors are you knocking? Daniel was able to knock on some major doors in his generation, Daniel chapter 9, we are going to spend a bit of time there because very instructive is the life of Daniel. Daniel chapter 9, something happened, this was during the year of king Darius, let me read from verse 3,

3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. 4 And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, 5 we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. 6 Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land. 7 O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.

Daniel 9:3-7

Then I set my face towards the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplication, with fasting, sack clothes and ashes and I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession and said Oh Lord, great and awesome God, are you now seeing that the way we approach God matters, the same way Nehemiah did, Great and awesome God who keeps his covenant and mercy with those who love him and with those who keep his commandments. We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled even by departing from your precepts and judgement. Neither have we heeded your servants, the prophets who spoke in your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and to all the people of the land. Oh Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us shame of face as it is this day, to the men of Judea, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Israel. Let me skip that and move to verse 19,

19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.” 20 Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God, 21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. 23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:

24 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.

Daniel 9:19-24

Oh Lord hear, oh Lord forgive, oh Lord listen and act, do not delay, for your own sake my God, for your city and people are called by your name. Now in verse 20, while I was speaking, please look at that, while I was speaking, praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my supplication before the Lord, my God, for the holy mountain of my God, yes, while I was speaking in prayer, do you see the emphasis? He was in prayer. The man Gabriel whom I have seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly reached me about the time of the evening offering and he informed me, and talked with me and said, oh Daniel I have now come forth to give you what? Skill to understand! Oh Daniel, your prayer, your supplication has been heard by God, the door you have been knocking, God has said I should come and open it. What you have been seeking, God has said it will be found by you. He said I have given you skill, I have come for to give you skill to understand.

Many people are ignorant of what is happening, many people are ignorant of what God wants to do but I am coming to give you skill to understand. Did he have that skill to understand while he was partying? While he was sitting and looking at CNN? He said, while I was praying, while I was still confessing before God. While I was still speaking to God and 23, At the beginning of your supplications, the command went out, did you see that? and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. So, prayer endears you to God. Can you talk to somebody to a point that you don’t like the person, the person you talk to a lot, do you hate the person? You don’t talk to somebody you hate. So, if you talk to God and God is talking right back at you, there is an endearment that goes on.

So, when you are in prayer and you live a life style of prayer, you are being endeared to God, that’s why the Bible says, the angel came to Daniel and said, oh Daniel, greatly beloved, and he said see, therefore consider the matter and understand the vision, and he started explaining to him, seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, he started giving him the break down, he started telling him the things he needs to know so that he can pray aright, so he will understand where to stand in the gap. Oh, do we see it? And he started talking to him,

“Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the [i]wall,
Even in troublesome times.

Daniel 9:25

verse 25, know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince , there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks, the streets shall be built again and the wall, even in the troublesome times. So, Daniel knew this too shall pass. This is the time that God has said it would pass.  So, you see that a man or woman of prayer is endeared to God and they are able to draw solutions in the spirit. The children of Israel didn’t understand but God sent Gabriel that see, Daniel has been fasting and praying, given the skill to understand the season, given the skill to understand, that it’s not that I don’t want to hear his prayer but there is an allotted time. There is a time I have set in place and they were able to understand this.

So, God provides solutions through different means, by his mercies, by his favour, he gives you skill to understand, prophesies. God releases what you are praying and trusting God, ‘God , what is happening to our nation? What is happening to our people? God reach out to us and have mercy towards us’ and then, God gives you a word. And God shows you, this is the state of your nation, your leaders have sworn an oath, they’ve gone into a covenant with the devil. I would have stepped in but you know me, I am a God of principles, what you need to start doing is to arise, call a solemn assembly, let your people repent, let them ask for mercy. So I can upturn the judgment and reach out to your nation in mercy. These are the solutions that God allows us to have access to in the place of prayer. So many in that Daniel, also in Daniel chapter 10 verse 11-14,

11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. 12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

Daniel 10:11-14

Daniel was also praying and God reached out, God sent an angel. Go and give a solution, go and give an answer to the prayer of Daniel and there was a conflict in the spirit but Daniel kept praying until his prayer came through. God provides solutions through prayers. I don’t know what you are going through or what your nation is going through or what your organization is going through or what your ministry is going through, there are answers in God, if you will go on your knees and pray. God provides solutions. So that you won’t say I didn’t go to the New Testament, Luke chapter 6 verse 12, let’s look at the life of our Master Jesus Christ, very important. Luke chapter 6 verse 12, Jesus prayed.

12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:

Luke 6:12

Now it came to pass in those days that he went out to the mountain to pray and he continued all night in prayer to God. Jesus continued all night, no wonder he was endeared to God. No wonder a voice will come out from heaven and say, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. We talk. Hear him. And when it was day, he prayed all night and when it was day, he called his disciples to himself and from them, he chose twelve whom he also named apostles. Your day, what you do in the day reflects what you have been praying about in the night. The solutions that we see in your life in the day points us to the questions and the problems you have solved in the place of prayer. What we see in your life is a pointer to what took place in the place of prayer. If you are still having difficulties in your life, there is a war in your life, you know, you are still struggling, maybe you have not fought in the place of prayer because when you fight in the place of prayer and prevail, you will live a life of dominion, because when you go on your knees and pray, God gives you solution because the spiritual controls the physical. There is nothing you are going through now that is not spiritually controlled.

Some men are ignorant of it so they live their lives carelessly, don’t be careless. It’s in the place of prayer that you connect with the spiritual and what happens in the place of prayer is that you connect to your source, you connect to your true identity. So changes happen in your life in the place of prayer.  Not by talking to people, by talking to God. When God wants to do a making and remaking of your life, a modeling and remodeling of your life, it happens in the place of prayer. You will be asking God, Lord touch my brain, touch my mouth, it will not happen when you are sitting down and just crossing your leg and looking, it will happen in the place of prayer, that’s where solution is, solutions are in the place  of prayer. Daniel said while I was still praying, while I was still at the point of confessing my sins and talking to God about the issues of my people, the man Gabriel came and he said to me, oh Daniel, beloved of God, I have been sent, I have come to give you skill to understand, while I was praying!

So, great things happen when you pray, you receive instructions when you pray because you wonder why did Jesus, after praying all night, in the day what he did was to set pillars in place for his ministry, do you know that’s what Jesus did, when it was day, he wasn’t going about healing people like he used to, because that was so important, that was the foundation of the work he came to do. He called twelve of his disciples and he set them and he called them apostles. They were the pillar of his assignment, that when I’m gone, these are the ones that will stand and replace me, it was major thing that Jesus did.

18 And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 So they answered and said, “John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again.” 20 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.”

Luke 9:18-20

And it happened that as he was alone praying, and his disciples joined Him and he asked them saying, who do the crowd say that I am? So they answered and said, John the Baptist, but some say Elijah, And others say one of the prophets has risen again. And he said to them but who do you say that I am. Peter answered the Christ of God, while  Jesus was praying, God gave him wisdom, God said, see Jesus, your disciples don’t know you, the people around you, they don’t know who you are, that’s a challenge. Go and ask them and you will see that they truly don’t know you and Jesus came down after praying, ‘disciples, who do the crowd say that I am? And they said ah, some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, you know, they don’t know you oh, the crowd don’t know you. He said, okay, it’s fine if the crowd don’t know me, you that have been with me, you that have been working with me, who do you say that I am? They didn’t have an answer but Peter rose by the spirit of God and said you are the Christ of God. And Jesus said to him, flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, it doesn’t happen in the flesh. It does not happen in the flesh.

Knowing me does not happen in the flesh but my Father who art in heaven. He has revealed this to you. Do you know that the only way we have answers, the Bible says who knows a man save the spirit of man, who knows God save the Spirit of God. If you truly want solutions, you want answers, then you need the Holy Spirit, no wonder the Bible says, let’s go there, I will love to read Acts chapter 1 verse 12

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. 13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Acts 1:12-14

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey and when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying, Peter, James , John and Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. This all continued with one accord in prayer. Sometimes, if we jump to Acts chapter 2 verse 1-3, you will not know what they were doing in the upper room, we will just say they were all in one accord, doing what? It said they all continued, verse 14, in one accord , in prayer and supplication with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, with his brothers because sometimes you want to wonder how did they become 120 in the upper room, it was not just the Apostles, they continued in prayer with the women, with Mary the mother of Jesus, with his brothers. Mary was there, she didn’t miss it.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
