There is so much the Holy Spirit has packaged for us and He has sent a word our way and the word is March on, don’t be tired. We are going to start our observation from the book of Daniel 12:10-12.
10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
Daniel 12:10-12. (NKJV)
Verse 10 says “many shall be purified, made white and refined but the wicked shall do wickedly.” So they will continue in their wickedness and they don’t understand why they are doing so wickedly. But the wise shall understand. This is a word for this season. So much is going on in the world today and many of us ask this question, is God aware? Why is wickedness becoming more intense? Things that we have never heard before, why are they happening? I got into a conversation with someone over the weekend and she was telling me about the case of an adult that sexually molested a five year old. And she said, “we don’t hear of these things before, we don’t hear of such perversion before, why is it happening in our time” and I said to her “it is because the end is here.”
The wicked don’t know why they are doing wickedly, they don’t know why wickedness and perversion persist in them, but the Bible makes us to understand something: ‘but the wise shall understand”, understand the times and the seasons, understand what is happening in our generation and the reason why it’s happening. And that is why He is bringing this word our way ‘’March on, don’t be tired''. There are things that will tire you out, when you see the amount of wickedness going on. You might not want to step out in to the world again, you want to remain in your house till Jesus comes. But the word to us is March on, don’t be tired. Don’t be weary, don’t give into the perversion and the wickedness, continue to march on. Why are you marching on? It’s because you have gained understanding.
There is a Scripture in Proverbs that talks about and describes a lazy man. It says a lazy man is that man that will sit in his house and will not move, he will not do anything but will say “ah I am not going anywhere oh, there is a lion on the street meanwhile he has not been there. He will say there is a lion on the street devouring people, I am not going, I would stay in my house.” That’s a picture of a foolish man. But God wants us to be wise, you are in the world but you are not of the world. The world will continue and persist in wickedness. More terrible things will happen because that’s the truth. Jesus made us to understand in Matthew 24, terrible things will happen in the world.

We have not seen the extent of wickedness yet, it will continue to get worse but the Scripture says “the wise will understand the reason why it’s happening.” Perversion is everywhere. Before, you had to go and buy a magazine to watch pornography, you use your money to buy it and you have to go and buy it secretly somewhere but now in the secret and in the comfort of the houses of people, a push of the button they can see pornography live. And they can be there all day. That is the extent of wickedness and the extent of perversion. It’s now at their finger tips. But God said “the wise will understand.” These things are happening but you must come to the place of understanding and He said in verse 12 “blessed is he who waits.” What are we waiting for? Why are we waiting?
31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31. (NKJV)
We are not waiting on money, we are not waiting on the government, we are not waiting on religious leaders. Those who wait on the Lord, they are the ones that are blessed. Those are the ones that will come to understanding. If you wait on religious leaders, you will wait in vain. In fact, you will be tired of waiting. If you wait on the Lord, then strength will be renewed. They are waiting with strength but their strength will be renewed so their strength will not be exhausted. Why do you think many people in the church are getting exhausted? Their strength for waiting is exhausted because they are waiting on pastors, they are waiting on religious leaders, they are waiting but they are not waiting on the Lord.
There is a difference and the Holy Spirit will expose us to see the difference. If you wait on the Lord, your strength will be renewed. You are waiting but your strength is not finishing. You are waiting but you are not giving up. You are not tired. See what He went further to say “you shall mount up with wings like eagles”. They will be experiencing spiritual increase as they wait. Spiritual abundance as they wait. They will keep running the race that God has set before them, the race of their purpose and they will not be weary, they will not be tired because they are waiting on the Lord. Those that wait on the Lord are those that understand the times and the seasons.
Last week, the Lord brought a word our way. We must lead our destiny not just to gather momentum but to lead in the Holy Ghost. And today, He is saying March on and don’t be tired. By waiting on the Lord, this is the proper way of waiting, this is the kind of wait that God has recommended for us because He knows why, because he knows a time will come when we will grow weary, when we will grow tired. Someone was saying to me that “since I was born, they said Jesus is coming very soon and Jesus has not come.” She even went further to say “Jesus is not coming.” And I told her “Jesus is coming. Everything in the Scripture will come to pass” That is somebody that has grown weary of waiting, that’s somebody tired of waiting.
Since when I was born they told me “I would become this, I will become that, nothing is happening, my life is not amounting to much, see me now, see all they said, nothing is happening” but I tell you, wait on the Lord, you have been waiting on the prophecies, you have been waiting on that man of God, that prophet, that prophetess, wait on the Lord, change your style of waiting, change your posture of waiting, change your approach of waiting, wait on the Lord and this is how we wait.
1 I will stand upon my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. 2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time ; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2: 1-3. (NKJV)
Waiting is a process and it takes a posture and that is what Habakkuk was describing here. He said “I will stand upon my watch.” Are you standing upon your watch? He said “I will set myself,” I will position myself on the rampant and watch to see what He will say to me.” The vision is for an appointed time. Wait for it, it shall not lie, it will surely come. It will not tarry. When you wait on the Lord, God gives you progressive revelation. When you wait on prophecies, when you wait on men of God, you will grow weary, you will grow tired but when you wait on the Lord, He opens your eyes, He enlightens you.
This is what David said “twice have I heard, that powers belong to God”. I heard it first, I didn’t understand it, God spoke once and twice, I heard it and I now know it that power belongs to God. Wait on the Lord for a word, wait for a progressive word, wait until God speaks otherwise you don’t go. Imagine if all that Elijah waited for was just to hear God to go to the brook of Cherith and decided not to hear anything again, he refused to hear God again and he said “God has spoken and that is it. I am going to die in this brook.” He would have grown weary he would have been tired. He won’t be able to march on but he was able to set himself on the rampant and he heard God again and God said “Go to Zarephath, I have commanded a widow to feed you there.” (1 Kings 17:1-16)
Have you been waiting on what God said in 1980 and you are tired, you need to set yourself on the rampant, you need to stand on your watch to hear and to see what God would say again because God is speaking, God knows if He does not speak again, we will grow weary, we grow tired. When Jesus was to be baptized in Jordan, God spoke “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” When Elijah and Moses came to visit him and they were having conversation and the disciples said “let’s set camps here, let’s not move again.”
God spoke again “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased hear Him”. This time, He added something, a progressive revelation. God is always speaking but how well do we set ourselves? are we waiting on the Lord or we are just waiting on prophecies, or we are just waiting on experiences that have passed?
