Kingdom System Pt. 2: The Faith Sub-System

Last week, I introduced us to Kingdom System by examining the LIFE SYSTEM. By the help of the Holy Spirit, I was able to reveal to us that the life system is a platform that have been given to us, by the death, the resurrection of Jesus Christ and we have the opportunity to step into the kingdom via Christ Jesus. In case you missed that piece, you can click on this link: Understanding the Life Subsystem to read it.

So today, we are moving on to another phase in this kingdom system, and we are looking at THE FAITH SYSTEM. The Faith system is our mode of nutrition. If we are going to go by the break-down we did last week about the cell structure, the mode of nutrition, the mode of reproduction and body organization. Today we are looking at the faith system, haven been born into the kingdom of God. I don’t think I have seen anyone who gives birth to a child and leaves such child to fend for him or herself from day one. I remember Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. According to him, there are several stages in the human hierarchy of needs and he said the first one which is like the largest is the place of food, clothing and shelter, which represents the necessity of man.

This point is necessary because it’s the first stage. Every man’s primary need is what will I eat, what will I drink, what will I wear? That’s the first preoccupation of every man. And he went on to mention other stages. He said at a point when man has actualized that need, he will step up into another need called esteem need, where the man is focused on how do I look? How do people see me? How do people perceive me as a person? So, you are talking about self-esteem issue. There are different stages like that. Same thing with the kingdom of God, what we are looking at about the kingdom system are stages, and they are necessary. Now you are born again, you have come in by the life system, you have benefitted from the ultimate mercy package of God, which is Christ Jesus. Now you are in the kingdom, you are born, will you remain the way you are? No! And that’s why when you come into the kingdom, the next phase, the next system you are introduced to is the faith system. And that system is the system that feeds every believer, that system is the system that causes our growth. That system is such a system that God has instituted, made possible, for everyone to come into the kingdom, to grow.

That’s why we are looking at it as a mode of nutrition. We are going to look at faith in a different context today, and as the Holy Spirit has been teaching, it’s more of understanding our human anatomy and physiology, in understanding what the kingdom represent and how these systems work. My husband was sharing with me, about four or three days ago, he was doing a study around the digestive system, and he was sharing with me how that God has deliberately wired our digestive system in a way that each part has a specific function and they have a deliberate functionality. So, the food that you eat is not just food by the time it gets into your system, it is broken down and we are going to look at it in that light this morning.

So, we are looking at the faith system, the mode of nutrition. Jesus mentioned something in Matthew 4:4, we are going to start from there this morning. When Satan came to tempt Him and said: “If you are the Son of God, turn these stones and let them become bread. But He answered and said, it is written, this is revelation knowledge, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” What is the concept that Jesus introduced to us in this Matthew 4:4. He said man does not survive, man does not live on bread alone, when you are talking about man, man is made up of a spirit which is his core personality; the soul and the body. And Jesus said “man.” Now when Jesus was talking about man here, He was not just talking about the body of man. He was talking about the holistic man. Body, soul and spirit. Man must not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. What is Jesus saying to us? He said every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God is bread for man.

So, man feeds on the bread of the word. The word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, is bread for man. So, we understood last week that the life’s system, that God gave us, God gave us a life in Himself the life that was made in His image and in His likeness and He said, to sustain this life, I have planted a tree, I have caused to grow in the midst of the garden, a tree called the tree of life. While you have other trees, in the garden, that supplies different things to the body, this tree of life is the tree you will partake of and would supply and sustain the life I have put in you. So, the tree of life was so important and so significant to man. So, Jesus was reminding us, He said man must not live by bread alone, man’s mode of nutrition is by every word. How do we feed in the kingdom of God? By every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Jesus said “man”, meaning that He is talking about the complete man, He did not say the spirit of man will not live by bread alone, He didn’t say the body of man, or the soul of man, He said man. And every time Jesus is referring to man, like that, He is talking about the whole man-body, soul and spirit. So, what is Jesus saying here? I want us to see Romans chapter 1 verse 17. We are understanding further what Jesus is saying to us from that Scripture. “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Who is the just? Everyone that have come in by the life system. Everyone that comes in by the life system must have a mode of nutrition. It is not everyone that lives by faith but the just. That’s why the word of God is foolishness to many people, they receive it and it doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t appeal, because their appetite, there is no attraction between the meal that was served and their appetite.

The just has an appetite, and that appetite can only be satisfied by the word of God.  It said “but the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just” so you must understand that you can’t come straight into the faith system of the kingdom, without going through the life system. You must be the just to live by faith, you must be the just to survive by faith. You must be the just to be able to have your mode of nutrition as the word of God.

It said the just shall live by faith. So, we understand clearly what Jesus was saying in Matthew 4:4. He said man must not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. why? He is not talking about just any man; He is talking about the just. So, for you to be able to profit from the word of God, in faith, you must be the just. You must have come to the kingdom, via the life system. And that’s why Jesus said that no one comes to the father except by Me. I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life, and He gets you into the life system, I make you the just because you would have to come to the Father, as the righteousness of God, in Me. We must understand this. So, there’s an important flow from the life system to the faith system. Only the just can live by faith. And why was Jesus saying this?

Galatians 3:11. Because this Scriptures will help us understand more the details. Because when we talk about faith, it is not just something that hangs on anybody, it is not everyone that can work in faith, it is not everyone that can have the opportunity of walking the faith system. Galatians 3:11, But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Understand what Galatians 3:11 is saying, it said that no man is justified by the law, you can’t come through any other system but the life system. No wonder Jesus said that the least in the kingdom is greater than John the Baptist. No one is justified by the law in the sight of God. We know that it is so evident, it is so clear that no one can be justified before God by the law. He said “for the just” this is how you can be justified before God by faith. The just shall live by faith. So, we understand that faith is a necessary mode of nutrition in the kingdom. Now, we are going to see a Scripture that we are familiar with, but we are going to look at and break it down so that we can understand what God is truly saying to us about the faith system.

Because if we can get the faith system right, all other systems we will walk into them in the strength of what we have gotten. Many believers in the body of Christ have actually come into the life system, the believe Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but there is a challenge with their faith system. The reason they cannot walk into all the systems in the kingdom is because they are stuck in this faith system. They just can’t find it easy to move on, they can’t understand and comprehend what the Lord is saying about their faith system. Hebrews 11:1, a familiar Scripture that we are used to, but this morning we want to break it down further as the Holy Spirit opens our eyes.

Hebrews 11:1, “now faith is” the Bible says the letter kills but the Spirit gives life. “now faith is the substance” can we pause there this morning? Faith is the substance, before we put the other additions that makes the verse complete, lets pause there. Faith is the substance. Now what is food? Food is a substance, whether it is liquid or solid.  Faith is “the substance” not “a substance.”  So, what is faith? Faith is food.  Faith is what you eat. Because if it is a substance, do you use it to cream your body? You eat it, its food. Faith is the substance, so faith is food. So, when we read it on we say; faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” But the major thing is that faith is the substance, it is the food of the kingdom. No wonder the Bible says without faith it’s impossible to please God, you can’t be God, if you don’t eat God. you can’t be God if you don’t partake of Him. What substance is that faith? How does faith become a substance? Because we are going to look at it. What makes faith the substance? Now when you break down faith, what should you get? Those are the things we would be looking at this morning. When you break down faith because it’s a substance.

We want to look at the technology in the spirit that makes faith the substance, to become beneficial to the believer. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. It is important we look at all these Scriptures because they are the ones that actually gives us the truth of the word. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, That the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work.” What is the Lord saying? All Scripture is given, so you take it, David said your word have I found, and what did he do with the word? He said and I did eat them, they became. All Scriptures are given, when they are given to us, what do we do when we receive them? We must eat it. Because it is when we eat them that it is profitable. The food you don’t eat is not profitable.

The food on your plate cannot benefit your body until you ingest it, until you eat it, it is not profitable. And we would realize that it is not just eating it that makes it profitable, you know you can eat a food and vomit it back? And that’s what happens to many believers, we ingest the food and conclude it should benefit me, not knowing that at some point we have vomited the food back. So, the Bible says; All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable. What makes it profitable? It is because you have eaten it, so, we are looking at nutrition, we will look at it in biological terms and we will connect it to what the Lord is saying in the Spirit. In the dictionary it said, nutrition is the biochemical or physiological process, by which an organism uses food to support its life. So, faith is nutrition. So, what do you use faith to do? It said you use it to support your life. The life you have received in God is supported by faith.

I hope it’s not confusing this morning? That’s why we prayed, let the eyes of our hearts be opened. Because what the Lord is saying to us is what will profit and benefit us. Nutrition is the biochemical or physiological process, by which an organism uses food to support its life. So, faith is nutrition, it’s a process by which you use the word of God to support your life. You cannot divorce faith from the word, that’s why the Bible says Faith cometh, how does faith come? Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing, and hearing by the word of God. That’s how faith comes. So, how does nutrition come? By eating, and eating, and eating of food. True or false. The word is food, faith is your nutrition. That’s why the Bible says why the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God, because without nutrition, you cannot grow and God is not pleased with a child that is not growing.

So, how does nutrition come about? They mentioned about six ways in which nutrition come about. And we are going to look at it. Ingestion is the first one, the second one is absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism and excretion. So, there are six ways in which we get food to become a support system for good health.

#1. INGESTION

What do you do when you ingest? It said the consumption of a substance. So, what happens when we ingest? We are looking at different phases, how nutrients are broken down. Ingestion is the consumption of a substance by an organism.  So, when you hear the word of God, when you read the word of God, what are you doing? You are ingesting. So, that’s the first point. But ingestion does not make for nutrients, it does not mean the nutrients is now beneficial and profitable for you. So, many believers believe because they have ingested the word of God, they are fine, they are okay, they are now walking by faith. No! faith comes, but faith is not completed just by hearing. The Bible says faith cometh; so food comes to you by ingestion. So, the first point of call when you have a food, is to eat. So, the eating process is the ingestion. You are ingesting the food into your system.

So, the Bible says faith cometh by hearing, and hearing and hearing by the word of God. So, we ingest the word. Understand that when the Bible says faith cometh by hearing and mentioned it three times is not tautology. Hearing, hearing and hearing, they are in stages, they are not the same. The first hearing is when you ingest, and we are going to see it in this break down. When you ingest, the consumption of a substance by an organism is ingestion. It refers to a mechanism, where you pick up something and make it enter an internal hollow of that mechanism. Now the word you are eating is not for your body, it is for the benefit of your soul, but that word comes to your body through your ears or your eyes. So, you ingest it, you take it in.

#2. ABSORPTION

The second stage talks about Absorption-Digestion. That’s another word for it. It is the breakdown of large insoluble molecules into small water soluble molecules. It says you break it down into small water soluble molecules, so that they can be absorbed into the watery blood plasma. So, what happens there? You have heard the word- ingestion; you are now meditating. Meditation is the place of absorption. So, you have ingested the food, you are now absorbing it into your soul. That’s what you do when you meditate on the word. Where you sit down with the word and you are meditating. From their description, you are breaking down large insoluble food molecules into smaller ones, so that they can be absorbed into your blood plasma, into your spirit. As you are absorbing the word, that’s the next hearing. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing, that’s the second hearing.

#3. ASSIMILATION

The next hearing that completes it is the third stage, assimilation. What is assimilation? It is the process of vitamins, minerals and other chemicals from food, with the gastrointestinal tracks as part of the nutrition of the organism. Assimilation happens when the vitamins, the minerals, actual the nutrients, what happens in absorption is that there is a breaking down that can now enter into your blood plasma. What are nutrients? Nutrients are substances that are used by an organism to survive, grow and reproduce. So, the actual nutrients, the vitamins, minerals, the other nutrients that are beneficial to the body, they get assimilated into the gastro intestinal tracts and they become a part. It now becomes a part of you.

So, if you understand the digestive system, you will know that when the food comes in through your esophagus, it goes into your stomach and there in the stomach there is a breaking down. That’s what happens in your meditation. The word is in your stomach, they are being broken down, their juices that are being released and it is breaking the food down for you. And when the food is broken down into small molecules and particles, they can now move into your small intestine, they can now move into your large intestine. Then it’s now going into your blood stream, it’s now beneficial for your body. Assimilation happens in the place of prayer. You assimilate the word in the place of prayer. As you are praying in tongues you are receiving. That’s why the Bible says; build yourself in the most holy faith. “Build” To build means you are growing; you are committed to a process. Build yourself in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

You are assimilating in the place of prayer, you have meditated on the word, you have broken them down, now they want to become beneficial to you, you are praying through the word. That’s your process of assimilation. You are now saying the words back to God and its now entering your ears again going straight into your soul and your spirit. That’s assimilation. So, we understand that faith system in the kingdom, is not just in hearing the word, it’s in hearing, hearing and hearing. So, you hear to ingest, you hear to absorb, hear to assimilate. How many of us remember Scriptures we never read when we are praying? The Holy Spirit might just give you a phrase, find out very well, you have read that Scripture before. You cannot assimilate a food that you have not ingested. You cannot absorb a food you have not ingested and you cannot assimilate a food that you have not actually absorbed.

So, it’s a process, so we understand the faith process, it comes by first ingesting the word. So, you just don’t say but I am born again I read my Bible in the morning before I go out, I read about two verses and there is no meditation, there is no absorption, there is no assimilation and you expect to get the nutrients out of it. Do you know what we do with the word? We squeeze out the juice, the nutrients of the word, that’s when its profitable. Until you squeeze out the juice in the word, it doesn’t benefit you. If you like be doing confessions; I am the head and not the tail, I am the first and not the last, before you know it, the thing will just be there, when you are sleeping it will just be playing, I am the head and not the tail. What happens is, the Lord is asking you, squeeze out the juice, that’s why the Scripture says the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

There is an operation in the Spirit, that operation has to do with your absorption and your assimilation. When you squeeze out the juice of the word, its beneficial. And some of us like to make juice with the word, juice alone cannot benefit you, have you started making smoothie with the word? People that drink juice have some level of vitamins, but when you make smoothie, you use the whole fruit. There is no part you are not using, you are blending it all, you are absorbing it all, you are assimilating it all. That’s why the Bible says in that 2 Timothy that we read, “all Scripture” not just the new testament, not just the book of Revelation, not just Psalms and Proverbs, all Scripture! Don’t just make juice, make smoothie, let the whole word benefit you.  The 66 books of the Bible, they are all nutrients. You can’t say all I want is carbohydrate, I don’t want protein, or all you want is fat and oil, you don’t want vitamins. There must be balanced diet.

Its nutrition, all Scripture is given. God has given us a balanced diet in the word. Let all Scripture be profitable for you. That book of Amos you refuse to read, there is something there if you will go there, that book of Ruth that you have been skipping, there is something there if you will sit with it and allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes. All Scripture, it’s a balanced diet. So, we will go the next one.

#4. BIOSYNTHESIS

This is the stage where simple compounds are modified and converted into other compounds or joined together to form macro- molecules. See this place is so important. The first three that we went through, they are necessary for your growth. This biosynthesis and catabolism, is for your maturation, your maturity. It said in this place, simple compounds are modified. A modification takes place and they are converted into other compounds. Do you know apart from the six classes of food that we know there are still some other things that our body necessarily must have. That’s why the Holy Spirit introduces us to these things. Apostle Paul was saying, He said as small babies, desire the milk of the word, so that you can grow thereby. He said you can’t continue to feed on milk, when you become an adult, you need solid food. So, at this point you are not just wanting to grow, you are maturing. That’s when biosynthesis happens to you.

#5. CATABOLISM

Catabolism talks about the break-down of large molecules into smaller units that are either oxidized to release energy or used in other anabolic reaction. What does this mean? The same faith that causes your growth, the same faith that causes you to mature, is the same faith that gives you supply to do the good works that God has called you to do. So, when you enter into the faith system, it starts as though all you want to do is grow, but you will get to a point that it is not just growing that is the matter, it’s about maturing, it is about being able to handle responsibilities. It is the same faith that supplies that. So, the word you are now ingesting is not just the word that will cause your growth, but the word that will cause your maturity. Now, the word you are now ingesting is not just a word that will cause your maturity, it is the word that will make you a son, a responsible son. The Bible says that those that wait on the Lord, the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings as eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.

That’s beyond growing, now you are working, you are doing the Fathers business, there is energy required, because that catabolism talks about the release of energy. The Scriptures the Holy Spirit is now sharing with you are Scriptures that will give you zeal, passion, not just growth, yes you have grown now, do you have the required passion, do you have the vision, that will take you and the people of God into their inheritance? That’s the kind of faith that you are now walking in. But everything is within the faith system. But it must start with injection. If you don’t ingest the word, you can’t absorb. If you don’t absorb you can’t assimilate. If you don’t assimilate, you cannot go into the biosynthesis nor can you go into the catabolism.

#6. EXCRETION

Excretion talks about the process in which metabolic waste is eliminated from an organism. You know what that means, everything that have been in your system that is not beneficial, it says anything that is not beneficial is eliminated. The same faith of the word now purges you, you know what happens when you are purged? You are eliminating waste. Purging also happens in the spirit. You are being purged, you have matured, you are starting to unlearn, every knowledge that wants to make you puff up, the Holy Spirit is deflating them, so you are purging, unnecessary things are eliminated from your system. I want us to see a Scripture in James 2, hope we are getting what the Holy Spirit is saying to us this morning. James 2:5, Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?” What is the Lord saying? Has God not chosen the poor of this world? I am sure many of us understand the context in which this book was written. He was talking about partiality, when somebody comes among you, you will say this one sit up here, this one sit down here. But let’s look at this Scripture again. It says Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen?

Chosen means elected, chosen means set apart, has God not chosen the poor? Who are the poor? Not just those that don’t have money, poor means when you are lacking something or without possession. Or you have an inferior standard, or quality. So, see the context in which poor was used. It said has God not chosen the poor of this world? God is referring to a system, the world is a system, it is a system run by the devil. So, it said God has chosen those that lack the system of this world, those that the world is looking at and they have inferior quality as pertaining the things of the world. Those that are without the possessions of the world. Jesus said the prince of this world came to me and he found nothing. Meaning Jesus was poor. But what is He poor of? The things of this world. He came to find whether his possessions were in Me, and he found nothing. Because I have not ingested anything of his, so I can’t excrete it. He came to find whether at one point or another, I have taken in a substance that was his, and He said he found nothing.

So, the Bible says has God not chosen the poor? Those that lack the possessions pf this world, has He not chosen them to be rich in faith? What is rich? Having plentiful quantity. Abundant possessions. Having a great deal of asset, high value and quality. That’s rich. So, the Bible says; you are rich in faith, you have abundant possession of faith. In this context faith is eating God, partaking of God, so, you are rich towards God. you are rich in the things of God. You have high quality, when they look at your life they find the possessions of God, they find the food of God being digested in your body. So, the Bible says to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom. Has He not chosen? So, when the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God, how can you partake of His kingdom when you don’t please Him? Without faith it is impossible, it can’t work.

Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is.  Must believe that God exist, He is a substance that you are chewing on, and that He is a rewarder, He gives nutrient, He supplies nutrient to those that diligently seek Him, that absorb Him, that assimilate Him, that go through the biosynthesis of Him, that go through the catabolism of Him. He is a rewarder. Jesus said those that feed on me, they will leave because of me. He is the substance of our faith. John 1:1, in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, Jesus is the word of God and He is the substance of our faith. If you don’t feed on Christ, you can’t live because of Him. He can’t supply the nutrient that will survive your life in God.

The faith system is centered on the Substance-Christ. He is the food that we eat. It said this is my body broken for you, He said when you eat of it, then you have a part in Me. He said let my word abide you, how can the word of God abide in you? You ingest it, He said be rich in faith then you will be heirs in the kingdom, you will be partakers of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him.  Takes love to actually continue to eat the same food and not get tired. Human beings have been discovered to love varieties, it takes love for a human being to stick to one option. That is why without love we can’t actually walk the faith system. How can you continue to eat of Christ the same food? And you don’t get tired?

Love! We must love Christ to walk the faith system. We must continue to eat Him; we must continue to partake of Christ. That’s why James 2:14 says to us, “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?” what does it profit a man when He says I have food and does not eat it, how will the food profit Him? So, He said what does it profit, when you have the word of God and you can’t absorb it? You Can’t assimilate, what profit does the word have for you? We will close with Verse 26, For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. How do you work faith? By eating the word. It must become a part of you. So, our mode of nutrition in the kingdom is via the word, and that word is the entrance of faith, and our life system is premised on it. That’s how the life is survived.

Everyone that comes into the kingdom, you are now in the life system without going through the faith system, will have birth deficiencies. If you don’t eat the right kind of nutrients, that’s when you will start having issues like kwashiorkor, scurvy, anemia, why? No balanced diet.  I pray the Lord will help us in the name of Jesus.
