Today we want to quickly look at something that is very important for us. We have come for Evening Bible School, we have come for Service of Spirits. So there is a marriage of the two. In the school you learn, in the service of spirits you worship God. So today we want to learn about how to worship God. You cannot worship the one whom you did not know, neither can you please someone you have no knowledge of. If you must please me for instance, you must know me. If I must tell you that I am happy with you, it must be because you have done something I have told you I love. So, if you must worship God acceptably, it must be rooted in your knowledge of God. That is why there is a marriage of study and worship tonight.

So, we want to see: How To Send To And Receive From God. And I want us to begin our meditation from Genesis 1:26, there is something important there that we must never miss. The Bible says: "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;." The same God that we want to send to receive from says “Let Us make man" and I am sure you are a man or a woman. You are either a man or a woman, there is no other thing. It says “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have." What is that? It says let them have dominion. Another word for "have" there is "let them receive dominion."
So, God who was saying "receive dominion" was also saying "I am giving you dominion." So, God was sending dominion, man was to receive it. But the foundation for sending and receiving dominion from God is very explicit. That Genesis 1:26 that we just read, God says Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;." Because they will be made in our image and they will function in our likeness, they should receive dominion. Until they are made in His image and Likeness, behaving after the pattern of God, they do not have the capacity to receive from God. God does not have problem giving, what usually happens is men having issues receiving.
Until you become a man that God was talking about there that He wants to make, you do not have the capacity to receive from God. For instance in our world today, we have 2G network, we have 3G network, we have 4G network, and they are introducing 5G and then 6G. If you do not have a 3G enabled device for instance, you won't be able to pick those signals. So, for you to be a beneficiary of the blessings so to say, of the resources of the network, you must have a device that is enabled for that network. For instance, it is not enough for GLO or MTN to say "we are introducing 4G to your street." The question is: do you have a 4G enabled device that can connect with the network? If the answer is No, then you will not be able to access the services provided by the network to you.
God does not have issues sending to us. We always have issues receiving from Him. The Bible have said God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore, talking about Jesus; and God even said Himself; "I do not change" and that is why you have not been consumed. God does not change, as He was, so is He and so shall He be. But what happens to us that change in time? What happens to us that grow in time? Sometimes the things available to us are not yet accessible to us simply because we have not yet been enabled to access them. It says Let Us make man in Our image, and according to Our likeness;." So, when a man satisfies this condition, then the man should have it. If I say a particular parcel of my land should be given to my daughter when she clocks eighteen years old, even though I love her, and my layer too lovers her, that parcel of land won't be released to her until she clocks that age. There are laws that God has put in place that puts us in charge only if we meet the conditions of the law.
You refused to be made in the image of God, you refuse to function in the pattern or the likeness of God, then you will not be able to receive the dominion that God has ordained for you. Your prayer and fasting notwithstanding; until you come to that reality, then you do not have the experience. And so, many people are blaming God. "God why is it that I cannot experience power?" "Why is it that I am suffering?" Why is it that everywhere I go, they don't seem to love me?" It is not God that should be blamed, you should ask yourself; have you become a man that is made in the image and are you now functioning in the likeness of God? It says "Let them have dominion over things; territories and dominion over the things in those territories.
So, your dominion is wide, is deep, it is beyond your comprehension. It depends on the purpose of God for your life. The peculiarity of your dominion is tied to your purpose, yet, that dominion will not materialize until you become a man in the image of God. Now, there are two Scriptures we will look at because of what we just read now. One is in 2 Corinthians, and I want us to go there first; and then we will go to John. 2 Corinthians 3:17, the Bible says: "Now the Lord (Don't forget we are looking at how to send to and receive from God or how to send to and receive from the Lord God). The Bible says "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all ." There are some people that has bad experiences in verse 14, 15 and 16. But it says in verse 18 that "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
"But We all." Some people when they are reading the Bible they don't understand, when they are going for interview, they don't succeed. When they are trying to do things, they don't get it but that is not so for us. Why? We with an unveiled face. There is an assumption here. We have an unveiled face. What gives us an unveiled face? The Bible says in verse 16 that "Nevertheless when one (talking about Gboyega Adedeji) turns to the Lord ( who is the Spirit; do we remember?), the veil is taken away." So, when the veil is taken away, it is called unveiled face or unveiled. Now, we with unveiled face, that is, we that we have turned to the Lord, we are no more unbelievers or people that are given to sin and corruption in the world, we are the ones that have turned to the Lord, we have decided to change. Another word for that is we who have repented, who are now born again; born of the water, born of the Spirit.
"We with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord," The glory of the Lord who is the Spirit, we are been transformed into the same image from glory to glory; talking about the image of God, Spirit. "Let us make man in our image" and that image we must never forget. Bible says "the Lord is Spirit, the Lord is the Spirit" and when you behold the glory of the image of the Lord, you are transformed into the same spiritual image from one level of glory into another. You were originally a spirit but by the fall of man, man sinned, and then the image of God that was originally in man, in Adam, became corrupted. The glory of God was replaced with sin and so, it was no longer possible for a man to have access to the things that God ordained for Him.
God said "be in my image, carry my glory and then have dominion." But because man's image was corrupted, from the original image of God, now man was no longer able to receive what God is able to supply. But when a man returns to God, through Christ Jesus, when a man turns, the veil is removed. And so, when a man who now beholds that image, is being transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians that no man can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. And the Spirit that we are talking about is the Spirit of the Lord. So, for you to see the image of the Lord, you require the Holy Spirit. For the Lord is the Spirit.
So, what that is telling us is that you cannot begin to see God in your life except you are in the Spirit. You cannot see God in the flesh. Many of us are looking for God in the flesh, we cannot find Him in the flesh because He is Spirit. Now for us to appreciate this verse, let us go to the book of John. John 4:21-24. Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot see the Lord.
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; (that is why we say worship must be rooted in knowledge. You cannot worship God in ignorance and you still think you will please Him. Do you know it is possible for a people to accidentally stumble, I am using this word carefully; on pleasing God. And that may be once in their lifetime. There is so much ignorance that they stumble on it. And you see, once there is no knowledge, it cannot be repeated. You can only repeat what you know) we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God (the Father) is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
And I want us to see that word "must.". Why? Because God is Spirit. It is spiritual things that ministers to Him. No wonder His angels that ministers to Him are called "Ministering Spirits." And so, if they are spirits and it is their spirituality that qualifies them to minister unto God, until we really come to the place of our own spirituality, we do not begin to please our God. Now, the Bible says in the book of Hebrews chapter 11, talking about faith. Bible says "By faith Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him." The question is: How did he walk with God? It was a spiritual walk. Another word for that is "Enoch was a friend of God and their friendship was spiritual." Enoch was a servant of God and Enoch service to God was a spiritual service. Each time he wanted to make God happy, he was in the spirit. Each time he wanted to relate with God, he was in the spirit. Each time he wanted to give to God, he was in the spirit. He never remained in the flesh trying to connect with God.
We are looking at "How To Send To And Receive From God." If you must send anything, whether prayer, or requests or gifts to God, it must be done in the spirit. You are trying to relate with God in the flesh, you cannot. God even said to Moses, no man can see God and live. Why? Because God is Spirit and a man who is in the flesh cannot see God. It cannot happen. Myself and my wife, we were watching a documentary about a camera that can see so far away. And they said the price of the camera was $400,000 dollars. It can see so far, to the point that if the object is kilometers away and it is on something, the camera can zoom in to it. Do we understand? The camera is so big and so long. Now, what is the difference between that camera and the cameras on our phones? Don't they all take pictures? Don't they all have lenses? But their difference is in their lens or lenses.
It is not enough to have eyes, do you see with it? Now, and the question I want to ask us as the Lord gives us opportunity is: Can you with this your eyes see spirits with it? Is your physical eyes spirit? Have you been able to see spirits with it? No! This eye is made of flesh and blood and so what can it see? Flesh and blood and other physical objects. Don't blame your eyes for not seeing God, it is a physical thing. Your eyes are flesh and can only see flesh.
If you must see the Lord, you must see Him in the spirit. If you must experience God, it must be outside of the physical senses. Some people are studying the word of God and it looks as if their eyes are opened; they are shinning their eyes on these letters, but they are seeing something else. You think it is the eye that is seeing that, No! It is in the spirit. It says God is seeking; the Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit. Apostle John in Revelation says "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day." The revelation that he had of the Lord Jesus Christ came to him when he was in the spirit on the Island of Patmos, he was not in the flesh. Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians when he said he was cut up into the third heaven; whether he should boast of that man or himself really; he cannot tell. He said whether the man was in the body or outside the body, he cannot but yet, the man was caught up into the third heavens.
You cannot be cut-up into the third heavens in the flesh. It is a spiritual thing. Some people are yearning for spiritual experiences but they want to record it in the flesh. You don't get out of the flesh and yet you want to experience spiritual things, it cannot happen. God is Spirit. Anytime you want to please Him, look for spiritual things to please Him with. Anytime you want to send something to Him, send it spiritually. Anytime you want to receive something from Him, receive it in the Spirit. Some people will go to people and give them money so that they can receive their power. Apostle Peter said you cannot buy the gift of God with money. Anything that has link with God cannot be received, bought or given with material things. It must be spiritually released unto you, and this cannot even happen by the will of men. It must be by the will of the Spirit. Bible says the manifestation of the Spirit is for the profit of all. It is the Spirit Himself that manifests in you. So, if the Spirit does not will it, even though you have given a man of God N100, 000 naira or dollars, it does not translate into spiritual impartation in your life.
Bible says God cannot be mocked, whatever you sow in the Spirit, you will reap. If you sow in the spirit, you will of the same Spirit reap. If you give me N100, 000, it does not mean you have not sown, you have just sown to me physically and physically you will receive. God is Spirit, God is not a man, God is Spirit, He cannot be seen with your physical eyes. You hear God spiritually, you know God spiritually. It comes to you spiritually. It is beyond the realm of the physical. You long for God outside of your human senses and you receive from Him outside the human senses. You don't have to know when you receive from God, you will receive from God. No wonder when God wanted to get the woman out of the man, Bible says God caused Adam to sleep. The question is: Why did Adam had to sleep? Because if Adam did not sleep, then his two eyes will be opened and see what God wants to do. You cannot see what God wants to do in your life physically. Do you understand that? Adam had to sleep so that he could get out of the physical consciousness. It is a spiritual thing. Something is being birthed in your life, you don't need to be physically aware of it. God is doing a work in your life, and you want to be the one micromanaging the work in your life, it will not happen. Bible says God caused him to sleep, a deep sleep.
In the state of his deep sleep, he was fully alive in the spirit. His spirit now began to transact with God, his spirit began to birth things with God. He began to receive additions into his life. We want to produce great things; we want to be physically be the one to craft it out, using our human head. When it is coming from God, it is not limited to your human head. How far can you see with your human eyes? How much can you speak with your human mouth? Your physical attributes are limited when it comes to the things of God. No wonder God said to Moses; "I will be with your mouth." You won't see me, but you will find yourself speaking. There will be manifestations in your life, you will be seeing the workings of God in your life for God is the one working in you both to will and to do. Even though you cannot see Him, yet you are thanking God for it.
That is why when certain things happen in our lives, we must always return all glory to God, always. You slept and you wake up, you thought it is by your making that you are alive, No! God has made it possible. There were spiritual battles that took place that God gave you victories. Now you are alive, have you now return all glory back to Him? God is at work, give Him glory for it. He said He will not allow the soul of the righteous to be famished. You won't go hungry. The children of Lion do suffer hunger, but those that put their trust in God won't go hungry. But when God supplies their needs, they must be sensitive enough to give Him glory because they may not see Him, and they may not see Him. You won't see God supplying your needs, but you must know it is God supplying your needs.
Many people have seeing what God is doing for them, some even have angels come to their rescue; but because they didn't see them as God or angels, they think they made those events happen. No! God was at work in you. Everything you received from God were spiritually delivered to you. They came to you in your moments when you were not physically aware; they came to you. God was working in you, God was working around you. God was making every crooked way straight for you. You just came and you met access, open doors. Who opened the door, you did not know. It was God. You must give glory to God for everything that you see working in your life. And if you want something much more, request from God, and when those things are coming; believe. Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. And so, when God says He will make away for you, you believe. What you receive from God is His word, and when God speaks to you, you hold on to it and you continue your life. You will come to testify that you did not struggle with the door. Why? Because God has made a way for you.
It is your testimony that will even bring you into the consciousness of what God has done for you. Yet God has been on a daily basis been working things out for you. He has been sending things to you and if you must please Him in this year 2020, then you must learn and you must yearn to walk in the Spirit. "Walk in the Spirit so that you shall not fulfill the dictates of the flesh." Your body has inherent weaknesses; there are certain things that you body wants. And if you must please God, you must displease your body because God is greater than your body, He made the body for you. You have not been made for the body; the body was made for you. And God who made that body is Spirit, and in the beginning He made you in His image, a spiritual image and He gave you the capacity to function in His likeness. And so, when you return back to your spirituality, then you will begin to receive the spiritual blessings that God has for you in heavenly places.
