Generational Relevance : How to Prioritize Your Way to Influence in Life

Nobody on his or her own chooses to join any other person's company or train or life – It is God that bring people to His people. And He does that for a great reason. For Jesus, people were brought to Him by the Father, so that Jesus could give them eternal life.Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said:

"Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him…"

John 17:1-2

That is the first place to begin from – receive people whom the LORD draws to you – in order for you to give them what the LORD gives to you.

HOW TO GLORIFY GOD ON EARTH

Nobody just appears on the earth, everyone is brought forth on the earth and each one is identified in heaven. The essence of our presence on earth is for a special purpose – and the authority and power of heaven is available on the earth for that purpose. The only thing that showcases heaven on earth is that special purpose. Hence, anyone who discovers his or her special purpose for living; and accomlishes it, glorifies God.

"I have glorified Yon on the earth, I have finished the work which You have given Me to do."

John 17:4

YOUR PURPOSE HAS A TARGET AUDIENCE

Although, a man's purpose may impact the whole world; yet, the whole world hardly draws to a man's purpose. You cannot reach the whole world with your unique purpose – your purpose has its target. God did not send you to everybody – but to some chosen people. No matter how influential your purpose might be, all men will not be drawn to it – but those whom the LORD has chosen for you. Moses did not deliver the whole world from bondage – but the children of Israel. Although, Jesus came to save the whole world, He was based in Isarel and only reached the children of Israel. Apostle Peter could not reach the whole world, but the Jews; while Apostle Paul had a hard time reaching the Jews – indeed, every unique purpose has a unique target – you must know yours!

"I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You."

John 17:6-7

DEPLOY YOUR TALENT TO YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE

Since everyone will not listen to you, and everyone will not believe you and everyone will not follow your life, pattern, principles and purpose. It is therefore wise that you do not dissipate your God-given talents, resources, time and life on everybody – Do not live a wasteful life! While deploying your gifts and resources, identify your target and focus on them – empty your self in, with and on them: For there lies your greatest impact and influence. Therefore, instead of working tirelessly to change the whole world; face your target and change it: For if everyone faces his or her God-given target with his or her God-given talent, the whole world will be transformed.

"I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours."

John 17:9

KEEP YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE

There is a great tendency for people that have been brought to you by God to be drawn away over time; but you must trust God for their preservation.Your target is not to be lost; but to be reached and saturated with the beauty of the LORD in your special purpose. You were born for them, so keep them by the name of the LORD and watch over them as one who must account for their lives.

"While I was with them in the worl, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled."

John 17:12

HOW YOUR PURPOSE BINDS YOU WITH YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE

God is not haphazard in His ways; rather, He is thorough and meticulous. He does not just bring people to His people – instead, He bring like minds together – people with similar passion, purpose and principles. As for you and your target audience, there is something that binds together – it is your purpose and your identity. While your purpose is sourced in your identity; your identity is sourced in your Source. Ultimately, your Source is the greatest bond between you and your target – not your resources or your resourcefulness.

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are nort of the world, just as I am not of the world."

John 17:14-16

YOUR PURPOSE IS TO DEPLOY YOUR TARGET

It is important that you know the essence of your presence on the earth among other people. The LORD sent you, not to show off your talent and to build up empires for yourself, but to reach a specific target on the earth withyour special purpose. While reaching this target is important; it is not enough. The LORD expect that just as He had sent you to them; they will in-turn be sent to various targets. Therefore, while you make it your priority to reach and keep your target; you must be diligent and discerning enough to know how and when to release your target for their own relevance on the earth.

" As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world."

John 17:18
