Whatever grows without foundation is a mirage, a mere empty promise. For every future, there is an appropriate foundation. In actual sense, every foundation is peculiar to every building or growth. Usually, the more the expected growth, the deeper, stronger and larger the foundation must be. King Solomon of ancient Israel once said “beauty and charm is deceitful but a woman with good character must be appreciated.” Beauty is like a glamorous edifice which does not often reveal the state or strength of its foundation.
As a beautiful house without the right foundation cannot last for a long time, so is every man or woman without appropriate character cannot find a desirable future. For every future desired, there is a necessary character for it. If you must be sure about your desired future, then you must be deliberate in the formation or development of an appropriate character. Your future is indeed at the mercy of your character. If you want to have an enduring moment ahead of you, it must be because you have enduring character to build your life works, relationships and decisions on. That is our focus in this edition of BETTER and LEADING YOU.
The whole essence of building isn’t for now but for the future. We build now to have something to show in days and years to come. If our building must remain, it must be because we are building on the right foundation, a rock-solid character that is beyond blame or reproach by anyone.
