The reason I will not continue to be a slave of sin and fear is because of my sonship. Because the LORD my God is my father, I will not fear what the enemy will do to me. Although they come against me in one way, they will flee from me in many ways. That is the purpose and plan of God for you and I. Today we will be examining a portion of the Scripture to see the plans of God in graphical pictures so that we can all be encouraged and take our places in destiny. Let us examine Isaiah 41:10-20 and follow it carefully because the Lord has a word for us in virtually all the verses.
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ 11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. 12 You shall seek them and not find them— Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing. 13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ 14 “Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the Lord And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. 15 “Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, And make the hills like chaff. 16 You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them; You shall rejoice in the Lord, And glory in the Holy One of Israel. 17 “The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. 18 I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. 19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, The myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine And the box tree together, 20 That they may see and know, And consider and understand together, That the hand of the Lord has done this, And the Holy One of Israel has created it.
Verse 13 of that Scriptures explains something very vital. It says "For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you." The implication of this is simple. That tells you that when you are succeeding in warfare, you do not assume you are the one making things happen. It is because the Lord is holding your right hand, that is the promise of God. Verse 14 explains how God intend to help them (the children of Israel). It says He (God) will make them: "Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, And make the hills like chaff." The word behold there connotes something that is visible and instructive. The workings of God in your life and what God would do at such a time as this will be noticeable, it will be palpable, it will something that the eyes will see and those who see it will be amazed about the dealings of God amongs His people.
That verse says "I the Lord will make you." The makings of the Lord is to transform you from a worm Jacob into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth. You are a threshing sledge by identity, and by potential you have a sharp teeth. Your teeth is not dull, God has sharpened it. In other words, your grace is not dull, God has sharpened it. The anointing of God upon your life is not weakened, the Lord has sharpened it. That is what the Lord said, He intends to do.
Now listen to what you must do as a people. It says "You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, And make the hills like chaff. You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them; You shall rejoice in the Lord, And glory in the Holy One of Israel " It is your responsibility to thresh those fearful mountains and beat them small. What I the Lord has purposed to do is to make you into a threshing sledge instrument with sharp teeth, when I make you; you shall rise up from wherever you are to start threshing the mountains and beating them small.
Those existing authorities and those who have constituted themselves as authorities, principalities and powers saying until they die, nothing will change in the society or that not in their lifetime will anything good happen to the people, who are suffering and being killed on regular basis, the Scriptures says "You shall thresh those mountains and beat them small." It is okay to pray! When we pray, the Lord comes down to make us, when we are made by God we take responsibilities to thresh mountains. So, I do not understand the magnitude of the mountain that the Lord allocated to you, I do not understand maybe you are of the generation of Caleb that says "Give me that mountain", my strength is strong enough to take it on, or you are somebody that is saying this mountain is too big, I am not able to handle it.
The Lord says He is going to make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth so that you will no longer have opportunity to make excuses. You will be made by God and strategically placed by Him in place where you will be able to speak and your voice would be heard. You remember what the Lord said that you are a city that is set upon a hill that cannot be hidden. It is not because the people don't want to hide you or silence you, it is because you are too big to be hidden or silenced. What God will do is to make you that big entity that cannot be hidden or silenced. When the Lord has made you into that form, your responsibility is to thresh mountains. Those authorities and elites and those who have made themselves powers, you will thresh them. When the Lord makes you a threshing sledge with sharp teeth, you are able to give these mountains their sizes. You know the word to give them in season and you know what to do per time. You have the strategic plan to take them on and to overcome them.
Those who have been making themselves to be important and something, verse 12 of that Scripture says "You shall seek them and not find them — Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing." You know by that verse, God gave us a picture of the end before we will even get there. He said those who are opressing us right now, a time is coming; when you and I take up responsibility to become and to function as a threshing sledge with sharp teeth, those who are oppressing us and seeking our non-existent, the Lord is saying we would look for them, and not see them anymore.
