The Power of Instructions: How God Preserve and Prepare Generations Through Effective Leadership

God had a plan; to fulfill His plan, He delegated certain responsibilities to Noah, which he needed to carry out for God's grand plan to be executed.

13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make [a]rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred [b]cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep themalive. 21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.”

22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

Genesis 6:13-22

If you observe Noah carefully, you would see that he was simply an ordinary man; through whom God did extra-ordinary things. Before God gave him any work, he was simply a man, a husband and a father -living. However, as soon as God's plan was relayed to him, he became more than a living being, but a leading being.

He began to make decisions that had trans-generational consequences. He began to sacrifice his time, energy, comfort and even will to ensure that the earth isn't completely destroyed by God. He had choices, he could have told God he needed to marry another wife, take foreign trips and courses or start a new business and therefore not ready; but he abandoned everything else to build an ark. The question is; "what then is the ark?"

The ark is simply a set of instructions from God to Noah, which he obeyed without delay or distraction. When God decided to destroy the earth, He thought of a means of saving, exempting, escaping or preserving a few remnants of His creations; and He concluded that an ark be built. If you look carefully at the book of Genesis 6:13-22, you would see that the ark was nothing but bunch (set) of instructions. The question is, "Had Noah neglected those clearly spelt out instructions, would he or his generation and animals be preserved?"

No matter what we are facing across the world today; no matter the seriousness of our difficulties; God has decided that a remnant must be preserved. To preserve these remnants, God has release some set of instructions to certain men and women – If they fail to carry out these instructions of God; our generation may suffer for it.

The question is, "How many instructions from God have you obeyed in the past 3 years? How many have you disobeyed? Don't you realize that the poverty, insecurity, divorce, child abuse, gender violence, unemployment, ignorance, sickness and diseases among others are consequences of your disobedience?" Your people are destroyed, persecuted, injured, maimed, killed, robbed and deceived because what God told you to start and start 3 years ago has never seen the light of day.

Why should you merely live in the comfort of your home or office or church, when you can start leading your generations now. God is counting on you, don't dig your own eternal grave with your perennial disobedience – choose to lead from now on – choose to sacrifice your time, comfort and ambition. Choose to be useful for your God – the One who fabricated and nurtured you till date.
